Construído a 5 mãos (países) e indicado da Argentina ao Oscar (mas finalista), esse filme denuncia aborda o esquema de seguro de acidentes veiculares, o protagonista (excelente Ricardo Darín) é um caçador de ambulâncias - conhecido como "carancho", a abordagem é bem interessante, atuando no coração da emergência e acompanhado a protagonista nos plantões, sentimo-nos imersivos com a plantonista, muito bom, tensão, sangue, angustia, drama, romance, e um final inteligente e surpreendente...

No ..don't do it, move on. It's one of those movies where you're waiting for something to happen that will make the movie take off.. and it just never comes. It's certainly full of people who are darkly troubled, and try to get more troubled. Just find something else to do, like read a book.

More realistic than most. Well acted!

Pablo Trapero always had a different point of view of ther world, and their characters and situations are definitely amazing.

Pablo Trapero nos trae este suspenso basado en la figura de Sosa (Ricardo Darín) es un abogado que se dedica a sacar provecho de los accidentes que sufren las personas, con demandas jugosas, en representación de una fundación inexisente. Todo con el fin de quedarse con parte de la posible indemnización. Sosa conocerá a la doctora Luján (Martina Gusmán) con quien nacerá un romance basado en una relación amor odio. Muy bien lograda, y dura como caracteriza a Trapero.

"Carancho" nos muestra el verdadero rostro de las aseguradoras de accidentes de transito y su codicioso propósito lleno de amenazas y muerte fuera de las carreteras. Lástima que su ritmo sea tan lento y aburrido que uno apenas puede seguir dicha trama tan prometedora.

Darin was great in The Aura so I checked this out. He works well with Gusman. Carancho is a gritty, well-directed look at the automobile insurance racket in Argentina. A legal counselor and a doctor get caught up when things don't go as planned.

Realmente no paro de sorprenderme ante la versatilidad que posee quien es, a mi parecer, probablemente el mejor actor latinoamericano de nuestros tiempos. Ricardo Darin personifica en esta entrega a un abogado "carroñero" que se ve atrapado dentro de un sistema corrupto en el mundo del fraude de los seguros de accientes y vida. Un drama con leves toques de "thriller" que captura excelentemente, el sufrimiento humano desde multiples perspectivas.

Perhaps the fall-spring relationship doesn't quite work but Carrancho is an interesting character sketch of a horrid character. How far will he go to profit at his trade?

Not a bad film by any means and certainly worth watching. It's stylishly directed and well acted given that the characters are underdeveloped. It's gritty but it needed a more cohesive story. The film meanders along for the most part, only escalating in pace and violence towards it's bitterly ironic conclusion.

Through the first thirty minutes I had no idea where the film was headed or what storyline was going to make me keep watching. The next hour answered my question clearly. A high-energy noir thriller that is not perfect but is visually and narratively engaging.

Gritty and taut thriller ably directed by Trapero; just make sure you fasten your seatbelt before watching.

Un poco apresurada en sus desiciones resulta esta película, pero eso no impide que Darín nos regale otra actuación tremenda tal como nos tiene acostumbrados....... larga vida al cine argentino!!

A good little noirish thriller from Argentina where everyone's moral compass is off balance, peppered with dark humour and with a gripping climax, Trapero's film is refreshing crime thriller.

Darín me enamora con cada uno de sus personajes... la peli no me encantó, pero no puedo decir que no me gustó.

Ricardo Darin is for my money one of the best actors working in foreign cinema today ,his very presence in a film is in my view a guarantee your going to have a great performance whatever the subject matter. Here he plays an Ambulance chasing Lawyer who falls for a young doctor who he helps at the scene of a road accident. He is a damaged person because he has lost his permit to practice law and is now reduced to staging accidents for money and ripping off accident victims. She is an overworked doctor with a debilitating drug habit and corrupt boss who is in cahoots with the corrupt law firms. The film is very bleak but that shouldnt put you off as it has plenty to say about romance and the effect it has on people whos world is slowly caving in around them. Martina Gussman is equally good in the love interest role ,and we even get some film noir elements with the powerful storyline. A film that presses all the right buttons ,one hopes Hollywood doesnt get its hands on it.
