Josh G Ughh this movie moves slower than frozen molasses, it is a film and has actors but lacks anything of substance. It misses all the fun of the previous films and doesn't feels over the top but grounded. No ridiculous acting and no fun, just a dull sequel...... Rated 1/5 Stars •  Rated 1 out of 5 stars 02/14/24 Full Review DanTheMan 2 Class of 1999 II noticed the original was keeping its shit together and wants us to hold its beer. There's no nuance or build-up, a lame attempt to say something about PTSD and unfortunately, it has to make do with a tiny budget and a lack of director Mark Lester. The production is hamstrung, the script is mundane and recycles many future clichés, however, the soundtrack and direction by Spiro Razatos are at least admirable. All the while Sasha Mitchell plays the lead role with a wooden determination, appropriate given the character he plays but does so in a pretty scary manner, the dude has that thousand-yard stare that fills you with unease. Although cheap, Class of 1999 II does feel earnest in its execution with some well-executed action scenes and a fun tone but it cries out for a larger budget to stick that landing. Nick Cassavetes (!!) plays a revengeful substitute teacher giving punishment to whoever stands in his way. We're never too sure which side he's on, and that's what makes this really stupid. Rated 2/5 Stars •  Rated 2 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review Audience Member From the last film, you may have thought all of the evil robot teachers who ended up going haywire and killing students were destroyed, but there was apparently one additional evil robot teacher who is continuing his mission to clean up the education system. The robot poses as a substitute teacher and befriends a good hearted high school teacher, but things go awry and the robot ends up killing more high school punks. Nothing really of note in the weak action film except that the evil robot is played by Cody Lambert from "Step by Step" and that future writer/director/actor Nick Cassavetes plays one of the many high school punks.
