Jens B 😴 Well, that was a total flop... 🪢 When a nearly naked, muscular young man is writhing on a table, tied up, you instantly know: Ah, David DeCoteau was involved here, and the so-called female director is just a pseudonym! 🤔 Beyond that, the film offers absolutely no added value. The puppets are recycled from previous installments (amazing how the backgrounds of the puppet shots don’t match the sets they’re supposed to be in), the story is utterly trivial and has nothing to do with Puppet Master. Torchie is missing yet again (except in the credits), and just when the plot seems to pick up a little after 70 uneventful minutes, the credits roll. The two puppet kills are bloody but meaningless. 👀 You can watch it if you’re a die-hard completist of the series, but not while sober. Thankfully, the next installment is a best-of compilation from previous films. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 12/01/24 Full Review R P I'm torn on Curse of the Puppet Master. It's directed by David DeCoteau (the man who loves to have men shirtless or half naked) and I like him. But I don't like the fact that most of the scenes with the puppets are recycled from previous movies. I liked the fact we have at least a small glimpse of Leech Woman. But no Torch or Decapitron. This is the last movie, I believe, before we start going down hill with the films being mostly clips shows.
