Dumb and Dumber To Reviews
Yet another Hollywood sequel that didn’t really need to happen.

Relentlessly crass...
| Original Score: 2/5 | May 27, 2021
Predictably silly, amiable stuff, which, I suppose, explains why it isn't called Dumb and Dumber Quantum Entanglement.
| Original Score: 3/5 | Feb 2, 2021
If the plot was merely designed for random laughs and opportunities for the imbecilic twosome to prank one another, it should have been less complicated and much shorter.

Worst role of Jim Carrey's career

It's a silly and splendid way to spend a couple hours at the movie theater.

Dumb and Dumber To is a sequel that has been talked about for years, but it feels like that in the time it took for everyone to climb on board, the magic evaporated.
| Original Score: D | Jul 7, 2020
Dumb and Dumber To is exceptionally bad. It fails both as a sequel and as a movie unto itself. Not only is it unfunny, but it actually manages to be offensive.

Something is off here...the pacing, the jokes, I can't entirely put my finger on it.
| Original Score: 1.2/5 | Nov 27, 2019
This could have easily been a film that relied on the good will of its fan base and coasted by as a cash grab. Instead, it is a comedy that is a little smarter than I expected, with some inspired gags and some stinkers as well.

It just feels about a decade too late. This isn't dumb humor, this is just dumb.
| Original Score: 4/10 | Oct 24, 2018
It turns out that Dumb and Dumber To is not only stupid and unfunny, but also horribly outdated.
| Original Score: 1/5 | Feb 16, 2018
The Farrellys emphasize fellowship, camaraderie and solidarity... through a filter of ridiculous humor. [Full review in Spanish]

If you loved the first one, you'll at least enjoy this one, though it's hard to imagine this sequel has done anything special for the - am I really writing this? - franchise.

The jokes are definitely 'dumb' (and therefore, it works in this film's context), but with a movie title that literally proclaims the same out loud, what can you expect?
| Original Score: 3/5 | Nov 11, 2017
The freshness and likeability have gone, replaced by a weariness and undeniable creepiness that the default comedy style does nothing to dispel.

How the hell did Carrey and the Farrellys talk Jeff Daniels into doing this?
| Oct 18, 2017
It was just dumb.

A surprisingly funny film that lands just enough jokes not to desecrate its predecessor. Sometimes the soft bigotry of low expectations is a blessing, not a curse.

Best to leave this one to the diehard fans, who should stay for the post-credit shenanigans.
