Audience Member A documentary about such a loaded subject could have been much more provocative. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/19/23 Full Review Audience Member A frustrating, meandering documentary, mostly showing various military officials and former prisoners refusing to cooperate with the filmmakers, or giving rather unshocking testimony. Aside from this, the film mostly deals in unproven rumors, speculation, and conjecture. And when one of the main sources for a documentary about abuses at Guantanamo Bay is the disgraced former commander of the Abu Ghraib prison, who has never actually been to Guantanamo, you know the film has problems. Did they really say "no one had heard [the term 'unlawful combatant'] before", when in fact the term has been used for at least 100 years? And that the US military tortures prisoners by making them listen to Fleetwood Mac, Matchbox 20, and Kris Kristofferson? Good grief. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/26/23 Full Review
