Sky C It's been years since I watched this movie, but I recall three things: 1) the story is good and the acting is good 2) The movie was WAY longer than it need to be 3) The golem creatures were silly, but I think the golems were in the novel, so the screenwriter probably felt compelled to include them in the movie. It would have been a lot better without them, though. I was very dissapointed while watching it as the two part film was cheeply made with small sets, and had none of the enegry and charisma that Moist Von Lipwig has in the book. I was very dissapointed when they messed around with the plot, missing out important events and adding in others, almost to the point that it bares no resemblance to the book.
