There is some off-color stuff of sorts but that's why I like it I guess...it seemed kind of real. I like Paul Schneider and his voice, and though he always plays the same character, I can usually relate to that character. In this, everything is a bit of a comedy: he thinks he's happily married only to find out, via his wife's shrink, that he will be getting divorced. He begins to date only to find everyone is a bit of crazy. There's a great line on one of his dates...this quite odd woman tells him he's the disaster. It's terrific. By most standards, he's a good and normal guy and he's the disaster. If you haven't lived that life, maybe you won't think it's that funny. So maybe a little pointless, but if you're a middle-aged man who is mostly good, yet you're single for this reason or that, I suspect you could enjoy this movie. It just highlights some of the crazy shit you'll see and hear in the quest of finding someone to spend time with. We are supposed to believe that the extremely ordinary (and IMHO rather ugly) Paul Schneider is an automatic chick magnet to a bevy of very attractive younger women that all can't wait to have sex with him. The thing is, he has zero personality, a dreary job, and offers no reason why even the real world women a newly divorced man of his ilk would come across. The plot and writing is thinner than a new computer tablet, so the totally unbelievable story line becomes outright annoying. How anyone could like this turkey-pice-of-crap is beyond me. It was serious and depressing, with two slightly funny parts. I was feeling sad for Otto and everything that was happening to him. The ending was not the greatest.
