When Adam's (Mark Duplass) husband surprises him with weekly Spanish lessons, he's unsure about where or how this new element will fit into his already structured life. Loved this film. Took me a minute to get into it but the script, the acting, the originality so, so great that I found I could not turn away. Fully engaged the whole film, and then I loved ending. Extremely well done. I know I will cry at the end no matter how many times I watch this.

This movie relies on the performance of two and only two actors. That could be an issue but the performances and writing carry this movie seemingly effortlessly. Rather than getting tired of the scenes between Morales and Duplass, I actually looked forward to the next exchange between them.

Mark Duplass and Natalie Morales collaborated on a charming film that is fairly predictable, but carried by the strength of the writing and performances of the duo. This is a covid-19 webcam film that isn't about covid. The concept and filming took place in lockdown/covid periods, but this film has no mention of either. Overall, it is an endearing movie that flies by and is well executed by Morales in her directorial debut. Final Score: 6.9/10
