Frank Scheck The Hollywood Reporter Anyone with fond memories of the campy original (and that probably doesn't include Jennifer Aniston, who made her screen debut in it), should steer clear of this edition, whose title character has no devilish charm at all. Mar 16, 2018 Full Review Tim Brayton Alternate Ending Tired, airless, inexcusably ugly. Rated: 0.5/5 Jun 21, 2022 Full Review Gavin Jasper Den of Geek In the end, what we have is a mediocre movie that nobody would care about if it didn't adopt the name of a semi-popular horror franchise and smack a pro wrestler's name onto the top of the poster. Rated: 2.5/5 Mar 16, 2018 Full Review Brad Miska Bloody Disgusting Leprechaun is the worst kind of horror movie. It's just so generic and bland that it's not worth a second of your time. Mar 16, 2018 Full Review Felix Vasquez Jr. Cinema Crazed I'm not going to pretend the original movies were classics, but they definitely won't lull you to sleep like "Origins." Nov 1, 2014 Full Review Brian Orndorf Blu-ray.com Davis's performance, his sense of theatricality, and his villainous make-up are deeply missed. Rated: D- Sep 13, 2014 Full Review Read all reviews

SkyRo P The latest film from WWE, titled "Leprechaun Origins," features Hornswoggle, a well-known figure in wrestling, in the leading role. As a fan of WWE, I usually find enjoyment in their films, as they often manage to strike a balance between entertaining and mediocre. Unfortunately, that’s not the case here. The absence of Warwick Davis really hurt this film, and the lack of any imaginative direction resulted in a truly dreadful cinematic experience. The leprechaun character resembled a gremlin from the 1980s rather than embodying the spirit of a leprechaun, which completely distanced it from the established universe. The filmmakers attempted to venture into a darker horror territory, but it fell flat and lacked the creativity necessary to intrigue viewers. The origins of the leprechaun were unclear, leaving audiences confused about its transformation and backstory. If this was meant to portray the early stages of the leprechaun, it ultimately disrespected the legacy of the original series. While the first film was a standout, the subsequent entries were merely passable. Warwick Davis infused the character with life, allowing audiences to feel both terrified and entertained, similar to the duality experienced with iconic characters like Freddy Krueger and Chucky. The "Scream" franchise also manages to blend horror with humor, engaging viewers in a thrilling mystery. This latest installment is riddled with missed opportunities and creative missteps, compounded by poor writing. It stands out as one of the most forgettable entries in the entire franchise, and understandably so. This film feels like an unwelcome disruption in the world of cinema. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 03/25/25 Full Review George H Wow this movie really sucks! The only good part is Stephanie Bennett is really cute! That's literally it! Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 02/22/25 Full Review Audience Member Not the worst movie, pretty mediocre but it is pretty stupid they label this as a reboot or just being part of the leprechaun franchise cuz it really is its own film. On its own without looking at it as a sequel/reboot, it's an alright goblin movie Rated 3 out of 5 stars 11/20/24 Full Review kathryn s Rubbish! Nothing like the other ones. Thought I was watching a werewolf movie.
