Bloody Awesome Movie Podcast

Marin is clearly a student of the art, which shows in every frame. Some jokes don’t land and some story beats feel slightly underdeveloped, but overall, the movie is well put together and a joy to watch with a crackling lead performance from Katy Erin.

Millennium Bugs truly shows Marin's ability as a filmmaker to be simultaneously funny and nostalgic all the while showing his capacity to show a raw and exposed side like he's done once before with his award-winning short film drama "Leslie". Alejandro shows how two friends who didn't buy into the Y2K hysteria yet still as the new year draws close experience pangs of regret and guilt and fear there might not be a tomorrow to bring about some form of absolution. This blend of humor, emotional exposure and 90s nostalgia shows exactly the type of storytelling that makes me love indie films
