It's a celebration of music with an on-the-ground view of the last days of an iconic NYC store; a celebration of its legacy, how music influenced it and how the store influenced the music that its customers listened to, and how the store now exists only in memories and the remnants of the indelible sounds that it championed.

The fate of the Outer Music store comes very early in the documentary. And, much of the movie involves talk with background music. Alternative, off-the-grid music fans will appreciate the store's vision and a few celebrity customers wax nostalgic.
