This film is not only heartwarming and hilarious but also refreshingly inclusive, offering a story that queer families like mine can truly see themselves in. Jussie Smollett’s contributions shine through, bringing depth and authenticity to the characters and the narrative. I’m sorry Chicago treated him so badly, but I’m glad it led him to creating meaningful work like this. It’s rare to find a holiday movie that celebrates love, joy, and family in such a universal yet deeply personal way. Watching this, I couldn’t help but think he’s going to be a great dad someday. This is destined to be a classic we revisit every holiday season. Thank you, Jussie, for creating something so special.
