Patrick K (I wrote this in paragraph form before I saw that RT strips out white space. Forgive the seeming ramble.) I was reminded so much of Pitch Meetings where Producer Guy says "how do we know that?" Screenwriter Guy replies, "It's in the script." The director spends no time on developing anything. You have to believe it because it says so right in the script. The script is terrible. The acting is terrible (I'm guessing mostly because of the direction). The direction is terrible. The set design is terrible. The digital effects are terrible. There's an older brother character who... is still in college? Unable to get a summer job? I can't figure out why he's on screen. Neither could the screenwriter since all he did was grunt and look surprised for the last 30 minutes of the film. If only we spent half the screen time of him trying to break down a door on any kind of setup for the "wise black woman" character, whose name we hear not once (yet she still has a character name in the credits). Contrast this with the main ghostly character, whose human name is said, 10 or 15 times yet is only credited as "Succubus." The premise, however, is quite good. I mean, there's a really good movie hiding in there, somewhere, waiting to be found... Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 05/13/25 Full Review Audience Member This horror film had a good start & story. Typical stay in a haunted mansion but lost steam half way through and then drug out endlessly. The father character’s acting was superior to the others, however the best part was recognizing Redlands, CA as the setting (Morey Mansion and Smiley Library shine). Rated 2 out of 5 stars 05/07/25 Full Review Gustavo D This movie SHOULD have been good. The trailer and the description made me very excited to watch. Unfortunately, the movie was pretty bad. The acting was awful (cringe-worthy), some scenes were difficult to watch because they didn’t make sense, and there were random scenes dropped in (at least it felt like it) last minute. Really such a shame, because I was really looking forward to a good horror film. Graphics were decent. Other than that- If you’re looking for a good horror movie, watch something else. Thank me later. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 02/10/25 Full Review Sally E Its a must see it has horror great story, witchy rituals and kinda reminds me of a movie version of ahs.
