This movie certainly grabs your attention. A woman pretending to be a man pretending to be a woman. At first it seems crazy but once you start watching you can’t stop. With a star studded cast including Julie Andrews, James Garner, and Robert Preston this movie shines. The score holds its own against any classic musical and leaves you in awe. Victor/Victoria deserves more recognition than it gets. It is truly and incredible masterpiece.

Movie is amusing, With loads of slapstick and fun musical numbers. And one real laugh out loud moment involving lightning, The cast seems to be having a fun time, The real delightful surprise is Lesley Ann Warren, who is so entertaining and sexy as dim blonde floozy,

It seemed to be much more antiquated, and I initially thought it was produced earlier on in Julie Andrews career. The musical aspect was vital to the plot and it was a lot of fun, while it explored themes of sexuality and gender.

The final great film from Blake Edwards, classy, stylish, one of the best song scores in the history of movie musicals, fantastic cast, a genuine classic.

One of my favorite performances by Julie Andrews. Also its worth noting that the comedic bits don't get out of control, which can often happen in Blake Edwards' stuff probably because there is an actual story happening here.

Still hilarious after all these years. The clever plot and acting are obviously first-rate and in today's queer-friendly atmosphere a nice trip.

The Film "Victor Victoria" can be one of the hardest films to pull off. Julie Andrews perfectly played Victor/Victoria. James Garner and Robert Preston providing great Supporting Roles. The film is sort of carried by "Le Jazz Hot" one of the best musical number. Gay in Paree dose not even come close to the prestige of Le Jazz Hot. Over incredible performance from Julie.

Funny Blake Edwards comedy that is just as relevant today.

Probably was eccentric progressivist extravaganza back in its time, but it doesn't really have much to offer. The movie suffers mainly in the plot; at a length like this there has to be at least one ostensible plot twist. Only the comedy along with a few of the performances are what make the length tolerable.

Victor/Victoria is the story of a woman pretending to be a man pretending to be a woman. Julie Andrews is in the lead role. It was a great comic turn for the Dame. I was strangely distracted by the hotel rooms which were much more 1980s than 1930s Paris. Also, it was a tad long and could have ended about 30 minutes earlier. Overall, a progressive look at sexual politics in the 1930s. Recommended

Classic Blake Edwards in his prime. What a treasure.

🏳️‍🌈 A 1982 musical comedy film based on an old German film of the same name, which involves transvestism and sexual identity as central themes. A twisted comedy where a woman pretends to be a man impersonating a woman. The fantastic Julie Andrews is marvelous in her role, which had to be a bit challenging. Robert Preston, portraying a gay man, is so funny particularly at the end. It is a very entertaining and hilarious story full of remarkably affirming attitudes and a provocative commentary concerning the LGBT community for the 80s. The film was nominated for 7 Academy Awards and won the Academy Award for Best Original Score, which has some incredibly catchy cabaret songs.

One of the best and funniest movie I have ever seen. Very unconventional too.

This gender-bending film is the last great Blake Edwards film before he submitted to a bunch of bland comedies including a string of rehash Pink Panther films that just replayed old, stale laughs. Victor Victoria, though, was fresh for its time and offers great performances by the entire cast especially Robert Preston, James Garner and Julie Andrews.

I didn't find it remotely entertaining.
