Extremely entertaining. It makes you aware of and think about things you wish you didn’t have to. The only thing that was sketch about it was the blonde woman that he made look like she lived in the Tron video game. She didn’t seem NSA-ish and her whole part seemed scripted. Like a movie. That’s why it didn’t get a 5 ⭐️ from me.

Modern documentaries are a puzzle to me. While I might believe their premise, I am also a bit leery of them simply being slickly produced propaganda pieces. I often tell my clients about bogus "Virus warning" scams they might come across on the Internet - the more flamboyant and over-the-top these messages are, the more likely they are to be utterly bogus. Zero Days hones in on a topic I have heard about in the past. From Titan Rain to Stuxnet, news of deeply "State Sponsored" cyber attacks involing governments against other governments. World War III is being fought now, but without bombs and guns and soldiers (unless you live in a backwards, savage-like semi-state like Russia). Zero Days is a bit too slick, a bit too "on the nose". Too much slick, ominous music, fancy graphics, unknown "deep state" anonymous intelligence agents talking juuuust "street" enough to try to convince you that they are for real. From the foul-mouthed "hot blonde" acting through her all-too familiar role of the raw, unfiltered embedded foot-soldier to the puppet-like bearucrats blatantly avoiding answering any direct questions. All this slick Hollywood reliance on tired old tropes makes me doubt almost anything and everything it brings up, no matter how plausible it might actually be in reality.
