The Nice Guys (2016) 91% 5/5 EDIT “Like any detective story, The Nice Guys hits those same genre beats, but instead of coming off like a series of cliches, Black creates a unique experience. ” – FILMHOUNDS Magazine May 29, 2025 Full Review The Legend of Ochi (2025) 77% 3/5 EDIT “The Legend of Ochi may be a film that slips by most, but those looking for or longing for an unusual adventure will find the film delightful, on the whole.” – FILMHOUNDS Magazine May 2, 2025 Full Review Warfare (2025) 93% EDIT “...the concept is far more intriguing than the finished result.” – She Likes Movies Apr 21, 2025 Full Review Julie Keeps Quiet (2024) 92% 3/5 EDIT “Though Julie Keeps Quiet is commendable in how it deals with the subject matter, the slow burn pace and somewhat anticlimactic ending will feel to some that the film doesn't push far enough with its material.” – FILMHOUNDS Magazine Apr 21, 2025 Full Review Drop (2025) 84% 3/5 EDIT “What begins as a somewhat simple plot, that could very easily be slid into the ‘dumb premise' category, gradually becomes an edge-of-your-seat thriller with an actual three-dimensional character.” – FILMHOUNDS Magazine Apr 11, 2025 Full Review The Wedding Banquet (2025) 87% 3/5 EDIT “With a truly fantastic cast taking the reins on this new version [of The Wedding Banquet], the comedy hits and the emotions flow in this romantic comedy that's perfect for fans of the genre.” – FILMHOUNDS Magazine Apr 2, 2025 Full Review Flow (2024) 97% 5/5 EDIT “Flow is a rare film, not just because of how it was made, or because there is no dialogue, it's the story that resonates with its audience. You either feel for the animals, or you see yourself as one of them.” – FILMHOUNDS Magazine Mar 20, 2025 Full Review Audrey  (2024) 81% 4/5 EDIT “To say that Audrey is an irreverent comedy would be to water down the tight quips and downright absurd scenarios.” – FILMHOUNDS Magazine Mar 17, 2025 Full Review Opus (2025) 41% 3/5 EDIT “...overall, the film has a tone we've seen before. However, while the conclusion may feel expected, its the journey, the mystery, and the music that keep you entertained.” – FILMHOUNDS Magazine Mar 12, 2025 Full Review The Last Showgirl (2024) 83% EDIT “...there is no better person to portray Shelly than Pamela Anderson. She is truly putting everything into this role and she nails Shelly’s vulnerability and delusional behaviour perfectly.” – She Likes Movies Mar 4, 2025 Full Review Crossing Delancey (1988) 82% 4/5 EDIT “Crossing Delancey is an inoffensive romantic drama with little drama and dashes of comedy, mainly from Grandma Ida. These quiet, romantic, low-stakes films are a rare treat these days...” – FILMHOUNDS Magazine Feb 25, 2025 Full Review The Last Stop in Yuma County (2023) 97% 3/5 EDIT “Yuma County is a slow-burn thriller, adding in elements along the way that keep the film simmering” – FILMHOUNDS Magazine Feb 13, 2025 Full Review Clone Cops (2024) 73% EDIT “Despite the negatives, Clone Cops has its moments of fun and for those enjoy a schlocky sci-fi will find more merit.” – She Likes Movies Feb 10, 2025 Full Review Presence (2024) 87% 3/5 EDIT “Overall, Presence feels like an intriguing and well executed idea that ultimately doesn't work as a feature length concept.” – FILMHOUNDS Magazine Jan 27, 2025 Full Review The Girl in the Pool (2024) 36% 2/5 EDIT “Adding in Kevin Pollak for flavour is a definite plus, but just not enough to make The Girl in the Pool more than a dry and by-the-numbers murder mystery.” – FILMHOUNDS Magazine Jan 21, 2025 Full Review It's Raining Men (2023) 75% 3/5 EDIT “Whether you enjoy rom-coms about adultery or those that express a woman's freedom through impromptu musical numbers in the street, It's Raining Men is an enjoyable watch. ” – FILMHOUNDS Magazine Jan 13, 2025 Full Review The Damned (2024) 90% 3/5 EDIT “The Damned is thankfully not plagued by jump scares and odd noises, the simple ghostly soundtrack and trickery within the frame more for a quiet horror that sends chills up your spine.” – FILMHOUNDS Magazine Jan 8, 2025 Full Review The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim (2024) 48% EDIT “The story and characters are heroic, stoic, and devastating but despite being new additions, they are far from fresh. ” – She Likes Movies Dec 20, 2024 Full Review The Secret of NIMH (1982) 93% 4/5 EDIT “At its heart, The Secret of NIMH is aimed at children, but it still hits all the same nostalgic notes for those who watched it as a child and again as an adult.” – FILMHOUNDS Magazine Dec 11, 2024 Full Review Robot Dreams (2023) 98% EDIT “Robot Dreams certainly is a gem hidden among all the bigger animation studios... but its one that stands on for its style, story and unconventional approach to those more complex situations we can find ourselves in. ” – She Likes Movies Dec 9, 2024 Full Review Your Monster (2024) 77% 4/5 EDIT “Your Monster is an oddball of a film that, complete with familiar but unique characters; it's something new and unexpected and will have you thinking twice before looking under your bed.” – FILMHOUNDS Magazine Nov 26, 2024 Full Review My Old Ass (2024) 90% EDIT “My Old Ass, is a light hearted, unexpected twist on the coming-of-age genre with a little bit of something extra thrown in.” – She Likes Movies Nov 19, 2024 Full Review Risky Business (1983) 93% EDIT “Risky Business is entertaining and though would never have worked outside its release era, there’s still many laughs to be had.” – She Likes Movies Nov 13, 2024 Full Review Infinite Summer (2024) 83% EDIT “Ultimately, Infinite Summer had a bizarre and intriguing concept that never really came to a conclusion, satisfying or otherwise.” – She Likes Movies Nov 13, 2024 Full Review Me, Myself & the Void (2023) 80% EDIT “Overall, despite some narrative glitches, Me, Myself & The Void, boasts fun fresh performances from the leads.” – She Likes Movies Nov 13, 2024 Full Review
