This series was great but the end of episode 6 shows this show is going to be slop. Suddenly getting attacked and targeted makes zero logical sense. The guy who robbed them being at a random restaurant they stopped at after being on vacation? Like he tracked him there? Some art dealer know is telepathic. Please, this is trash writing and now everything about the plot is going to be nonsense garbage, guaranteed. The writers strike certainly didn't improve Hollywood's writing. Way to ruin a good thing as per usual.

Love Jon Hamm but it's pretty middle of the road for me.

I’ve enjoyed this series very much. Jon Hamm is at home in this variation on Don Draper. While the characters are self-absorbed, materialistic, and lacking all semblance of a moral compass, I found the church scene to be completely tasteless and nonessential to the story. Obviously someone on the creative team has an ax to grind, and their lack of maturity and respect is on full display. It’s fashionable in 2025 to mock Christianity, but I hope that enough viewers complain so that this gets back to the creatives. Hopefully this was an isolated incident. I don’t think I’ll stop watching, but will consider after a second occurrence.

I am a forever fan of John Hamm as a lead, so let’s start there. I felt confident in his ability to make this character undoubtedly complex. And he totally delivers. I am glad he is surrounded by talented ensemble of actors (esp. Amanda Peet & Hoon Lee). What I appreciate most is the consistent narrative, borderlining satire, of privilege and excess. Yes, these are still under the best of circumstances, but I like the show describing wealth as more of a soul-sucking liability than a desired asset.

I absolutely am watching it because of Jon Hamm. Loved Don Draper & love the fact that it deals with Westchester/Ct juxtaposed to the gritty urban outer boroughs.
They have him traveling frequently to The supposed Bronx, (yes, real NY’ers observe the rule - as the only Boro that has always had the claim of deserving “THE” preceding the Bronx.
Filmed right across from Tony Bennett’s childhood home in Astoria Queens is where he makes he’s weekly drop off of loot to his self-conscience, um I mean his psychoanalyst, um I mean his pawn broker. It’s just so funny.
Born and raised a few blocks on the “other” side of the tracks it brings me joy to see the program shot in my own backyard so to speak. I’m familiar with the side yard where the Dominican family was having their Sancocho. And yes, grew up a block away and passed that yard under the Amtrak tracks the ones of the northeast corridor from Canada to Florida, where some of my people are from as I am American-Cuban. Not to be confused with other tracks formerly known to us as what was known as the RR Train, um I mean the N train. Being married to a Dominican American born & raised on the other side of the tracks in Woodside Queens provides us with a lot of jokes at home while watching this show. Just like the MTA swapped letters from the N LINE to the R LINE which we still to this day have no idea WHY THAT WAS DONE. It makes no sense and so does episode 6.
You guys are getting so much flak about this episode, failure to “stick with the program”. You ran the show right off the tracks with this one. Lost so many viewers for what? A bad turn. Was your conductor not paying attention and crashed the run away train, causing fatalities?
The writer, obviously was not paying attention to the navigation system and ran the show right off course. What a tragedy to have lost so many viewers with one single scene!
Not only was it unnecessary in showing what was obviously happening. We get it, Coop & Mel were having a moment of tenderness, familiarity and enjoying what they once had as a couple and as a family unit.
There was no need to go so low as to have shot that disrespectful and sacrilegious scene in the church. I’m not a prude, far from it, I love a good, hot, racy adult show however I am an adult with standards for good 온라인카지노추천 watching & this just was not a good episode. I even got my husband to watch a few episodes with me and he too critiqued it as bad writting, not necessary and in poor taste.
So sad you made a bad choice in telling a story that could have been told without that offensive scene in the church that has consequently lost viewers.
Unless, you do one of those, “oops, made a mistake” like the Rosanne show did a few years ago and built in a dream sequence to unravel the mess they created.
Of all weeks to have dropped this episode, the week of the Conclave & the announcement of the first American Pope! You guys take the cake for blunder of blunders. Yikes! If I were you I would quickly rework a scene in next week’s episode 7 to undo the obvious poor judgment and reconcile the actions taken in episode 6.
Hope you can work your way back in to social graces & avoid ex-communication.
Hate to see you go. There’s still time to reconsider & rewrite something for your salvation with viewers.

The premise has so much promise but is spoiled by poor casting and unrealistic performances. Jon Hamm seems like he is phoning this role in...his lazy performance starts to irritate by the second show. Hoon Lee's acting is annoyingly unnatural. Olivia Cross (British actress) is just plain unwatchable. I am trying to finish the show to keep my spouse happy but it feels like I am a seven year old being forced to eat my over-cooked peas and Brussel sprouts.
