Gene (Gene Autry), Frog (Smiley Burnette) and Steve (Tully Marshall) are Montana cattlemen who drive herds over the Canadian border. When Steve is killed, they follow a clue he carved on a rock, which leads to a nearby ranch run by Dorothy (June Storey). She's a good woman, oblivious to the fact that the sneering Hendricks (Harry Woods) is running a fur-smuggling ring under her nose, using her ranch as cover. It's up to Gene and Frog to save Dorothy, stop the outlaws and avenge their friend.

Synopsis Gene (Gene Autry), Frog (Smiley Burnette) and Steve (Tully Marshall) are Montana cattlemen who drive herds over the Canadian border.
