"Fathers of the Bride: A Yuletide Wedding Comedy" follows the story of Leo and Rich (Peter Szeliga and Bruce L. Hart), Michelle's two dads. Michelle (Brooke Riley St Johns) is getting married but initially wants to skip the ceremony. Amidst the chaos of organizing their yearly Christmas bash, her dads persuade Michelle to opt for a grand wedding, fulfilling their own dream of the elaborate ceremony they never had. Chaos ensues, and a less-than-pleasant feud erupts between Rich and his sister-in-law, Angela (Raphaella Dreyer), over who truly is a real family member and thus qualified to plan the wedding. Despite the ups and downs, lessons are learned, and audiences can expect a heartwarming and happy ending. West Hollywood's own Dr. Christmas AKA Bob Pranga plays a role spoofing his own career as a Christmas decorator.

Alec C Everybody loves a Christmas movie. That’s why there are so many. But when was the last time you saw a Christmas-wedding movie? Okay, there are quite a few of those too. But how about a Christmas Wedding movie in West Hollywood? In that way this film might have its own niche. Bright festive colors and impeccable décor are in every frame. The tensest of moments are still light-hearted fare. All likeable characters—some more so than others. This film is a great choice if you’re recovering from open-heart surgery. There are some laughs too. Relatable and fun. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 05/31/25 Full Review Bobby L “Fathers of the Bride” is a fun, bubbly rom-com with a lovely message about family and unconditional love. This “Yuletide” tale is a story for all seasons. Darren Deng is super charming, Brooke St. John makes a lovely bride to be who wants both her independence and her fathers’ blessing. Bruce Hart and Peter Szeliga are stand outs leads with great chemistry. Masterfully directed by Paul Hart, with beautiful cinematography, strong lead actors and a capable ensemble cast, I very much enjoyed the film. A story filled with humor, joy and a lot of heart, the film balances lightness with sincerity. The characters and their relationships are layered with intriguing drama amd compelling conflicts. “Fathers of the Bride” is a nice surprise. I loved the the 2 Dads and the interracial couple to be married. This is a modern family and an effervescent and enjoyable film. Full of heart and humor. If you are looking for a feel good indie film, look no further. Bravo. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 05/23/25 Full Review I Love I A Must-Watch Indie Gem with Heart and Humor Fathers of the Bride is a beautifully crafted indie film with a deeply real and touching message. Don’t let the “Yuletide” in the title fool you—this is a story for any time of year. It brings a refreshing, heartfelt perspective to a situation many families navigate but rarely see represented on screen: a parent coming out. Told with humor, warmth, and sincerity, the film balances lightness with meaningful emotional depth. The characters feel real, their relationships are layered with compelling conflicts, and the music is an absolute joy—creative, fun, and integral to the storytelling. This is indie filmmaking at its best. Stop what you’re doing and watch it now! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 05/22/25 Full Review Read all reviews
