Rated 3/5 Stars •  Rated 3 out of 5 stars 07/22/24 Full Review Audience Member Sho Kosugi as a US drug enforcement agent who goes to Buenos Aires to avenge his friend Jeff's death at the hands of a drug ring. It is about honor, not revenge. No doubt Sho Kosugi can handle the martial arts demanded by the role but the delivery of his lines in English no doubt kept a ceiling on his ability to be an action film lead. Strictly a formula cop/action film but its a winning formula. Kosugi's career likely held back by his lack of command of the English language. Rated 3/5 Stars •  Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/24/23 Full Review Audience Member From the director of "KISS Meets the Phantom of the Park" and the star of "Enter the Ninja," "Revenge of the Ninja," "Ninja 3: The Domination" and "The Bad News Bears Go to Japan," Shô Kosugi, comes this very 80s style martial arts film involve cop Kosugi going after nasty drug dealers who killed his partner. Like his ninja films, the martial arts seems like it's being done in slow motion compared to the Hong Kong martial arts pictures being made during this same time (i.e. anything with Jackie Chan or Benny Urquidez). However, there is a cheesy charm to these types of film that did give me at least two and a half stars worth of entertainment, although I do have to say I enjoyed the Cannon Films Globus/Golan ninja production better.
