The film-makers must have been grateful that the tragedy happened in the dark because it covers up the fact that it looks like the lifeboats are being lowered into a swimming pool while a giant cutout ship capsizes in the background.

I appreciated the in-depth and factual basis of the movie. Senator Smith emerges as a true champion for the average people (aka “the lower class”), in an age where life’s worth was based on money and class. Very interesting and well acted all around.
