Andre (Andre Keuck) and Cal (Cal Robertson) are a pair of military-loving misfits from small-town America. They harbor a hatred of their high school so caustic that they come up with a plan of attack called "Zero Day." As the days count down, they record their preparations in video diaries, hoping to achieve fame after their demise. When Zero Day arrives, Andre and Cal drive to school with a trunk of munitions and take aim. The film is based on the Columbine High School massacre.

Mr. Coccio's conclusions -- or lack thereof -- may seem a little pat at times, but as a pseudo-case study of adolescent ego and aimless nihilism channeled into a fit of violence, it's like a bucket of ice water in the face.

Finished the season and went to look up if there could be a season 2 since I loved it so much. Surprised to see all the negative reviews?? We watching the same thing? I would be doing other things in the day and think of this show and couldnt wait to watch more. Sad it's ended and I can't watch more, although I could definitely re watch this show. I can't re watch much of anything so that says a lot. Loved Robert DeNiro's character!

Not watched it all yet and will only carry on because of Robert De Niro, rest of the cast are average and annoying. All the people who have got to the top and in power seem to have got there because they are either unlikeable bullies, corrupt or did it to spite their parents. You would hope, in real life that a few nice people might make it.

We liked Zero Day's overall performance as a thriller. Only six episodes used to fully develop this story and while reminding me of a BBC thriller, it mostly got there. As one other reviewer said episodes three to six much clearer and more eventful than the first three. And yes, Robert De Niro seems quite wooden in this role but I suppose his character didn't give a whole lot to work with. (Maybe they didn't pay him enough for more.) Two more episodes would have allowed for a little more plot development and possibly, character development. Nice sets and wardrobe though. 70% overall.
