Michael H I have been watching this season, and I must say, this is the best season or series of Doctor Who we have had in a while. I ha e thoroughly enjoyed Belinda as a companion, and her dynamic with the Doctor is an improvement over Ruby Sunday's relationship with the Doctor. It is more believable. I triguing stories, and better writing this season helps boost the overall feel of the show. Let's see if the finale may stick the landing! The best Doctor Who in years…RTD has refound his stride and Murray Gold’s music has been fantastic (and sorely missed over recent years). Ncuti Gatwa has found his footing as the Doctor this season too, he is awesome. The supporting cast have also all been great. Last season was a bit hit and miss…I say that, but the episodes that I…I won’t say disliked or was disappointed with…but the episodes that I felt were not really working for me, my 11 year old son loved…like ‘Space Babies’!!! Some of the episodes I loved like ‘Boom’ and ‘73 Yards’, he found a bit dull, so there was something for everyone, last season - it was just, not every episode hit the spot, and thats to be expected when a show is trying to reach a massive audience base of varying ages. However, THIS season…utterly, utterly brilliant, and both my son and I have loved every single episode. Only negative is that the season is far too short! Can’t believe we are already at the finale! We are off to the cinema to enjoy the finale this weekend…that has been a great addition to the format…the cinema screening finales. Waiting to hear on Season 3…really hope it gets green lit as soon as the finale finishes airing!!!! It is a refreshing, experimental season that capitalizes on the star power of Ncuti Gatwa and Varada Sethu. Is everything about the season perfect? No. But that is a very rare instance in the 21st century. Season 2 is at its best when we see the developing character dynamic between the doctor and his latest companion, the stories are written to be very cohesive and work towards the final reveal of the season. I understand people who are disillusioned with the show but it should be remembered, that Doctor Who changes often. The show's ability to adapt and change is what has allowed it to survive the now 62 years and certainly for many more to come ❤️. Ncuti Gatwa is a fantastic actor for this role and his charm, confidence, and his happiness in the role of this character who we've seen evolve over the last 60 years has been delightful to watch.
