First two episodes in and it's two HOURS of the main character half-*** stealing a ship and escaping capture by morons as they play rock, paper, scissors. Rebellion side plot of intense staring and mistrust with nearly nothing happening against the backdrop of a who-gives-a-**** rehearsal dinner. Another side plot of periodically checking in on buddies waiting, doing nothing and being afraid. Then the villains having a marketing meeting with no context for any of it to make sense. Here's hoping the next 10 episodes do more than make me want to take a nap.

Season 1 of Andor was sort of the Holy Grail of Star Wars. Brilliantly written, complex, intense, and without using the force, it managed to make the Empire terrifying and explain what the rebellion was about. I have huge expectations going into Season 2 of Andor. The first three episodes, while they were solid television, were disappointing and off the mark. The problem is, there was no build in the tension between good and evil. The first three episodes were somewhat like the first three of Season 1; they provided context. Whenever I rewatch Season 1, and I do frequently, I never rewatch the first three episodes. The reason story begins Episode 4. Episode 4 is all very Star Wars, don't you think? Let's hope this improves.

What a failure. After the fantastic first season set such high expectations... this is a complete letdown. The spy element is gone, it's just a series of senseless events. All style over substance. A huge disappointment.

It’s good so far, but slow. None of the characters in this show are that intriguing. I find myself rooting for Dedra the most but that isn’t saying much. I do wish they took this story telling approach to the Obi-wan series.
