Mac Verstandig
Tomatometer-approved critic
Biography:
Recieved full press credentials as a film critic at the tender age of 14. Ran Moviereviews.org while working as a film critic for countless other websites, Connecticut's Stage Newspaper and Portland, Maine's WTPN-FM Radio. Gave up the gig in 2001, choosing to finish out high school quietly. Now a student of the University of Wisconsin and reviewing again, this time for the Badger Herald.
Favorites:
For a good laugh, nothing beats "Animal House." When it comes to great filmmaking, "La Voyage Dans La Lune," "The Godfather," "Saving Private Ryan" and "Casablanca" can't be ignored.

“Despite being nearly three hours long, the movie is among the finest to grace the silver screen in some time and should be able to work over any intelligent audience not bothered by a level of blood, gore and even nudity traditionally reserved for either” –
