The Ugly Stepsister (2025) 96% 5/5 “A clever, wickedly funny, and nasty reinvention of the Cinderella myth, Emilie Blichfeldt’s feature debut is a stomach-churning spectacle and a scathing feminist satire that weaponizes the grotesque to critique the systems that prey on women. ” – Morbidly Beautiful Apr 18, 2025 Full Review Lowlifes (2024) 4/5 “"Lowlifes" is a must-watch Tubi Original that subverts horror expectations with razor-sharp wit, thrilling twists, and blood-soaked fun. ” – Morbidly Beautiful Apr 8, 2025 Full Review Bring Them Down (2024) 90% 4/5 “Gorgeously crafted, unbearably tense, and seething with quiet rage, this is not for the faint of heart. It's a tale of fragile masculinity, generational bitterness, and the corrosive nature of vengeance.” – Morbidly Beautiful Apr 7, 2025 Full Review 825 Forest Road (2025) 38% 3.5/5 “Those who crave creeping dread and psychological depth should find this a journey worth taking. However, its slow pace and focus on trauma won't be for everyone. Approach with an open mind and a willingness to be enveloped by the shadows of Ashland Falls.” – Morbidly Beautiful Apr 6, 2025 Full Review It Feeds (2025) 85% 4/5 “Strong performances give It Feeds emotional resonance while the ghoulish creature design delivers the requisite scares, making it an extremely worthwhile new indie horror entry.” – Morbidly Beautiful Apr 2, 2025 Full Review Bob Trevino Likes It (2024) 95% 5/5 “A deeply moving and beautifully crafted story of found family featuring a powerhouse performance from Barbie Ferreira and a heartfelt connection that will leave you in tears—both of sorrow and joy.” – Morbidly Beautiful Mar 23, 2025 Full Review Locked (2025) 66% 3/5 “Flaws aside, Yarovesky succeeds at making the most of his premise and wringing every possible bit of tension out of the situation—thanks mainly to two powerhouse performers who help keep this taut thriller moving in the right direction. ” – Morbidly Beautiful Mar 21, 2025 Full Review Clown in a Cornfield (2025) 93% 4/5 “It delivers some pretty effective subversions of genre expectations without being obnoxiously meta or feeling like it’s trying too hard to be clever. Eggers has crafted not just a worthy adaptation of a classic but also a new classic in its own right.” – Morbidly Beautiful Dec 25, 2024 Full Review Bleeding (2024) 4/5 “It uses vampirism to mine the depths of human despair, exploring the horror of feeling trapped—by circumstance, by addiction, by an endless cycle of trauma. Bleak and nihilistic, it's also a riveting watch that deserves your attention.” – Morbidly Beautiful Dec 9, 2024 Full Review Plan B (2024) 82% 3.5/5 “It has much to say about honesty, owning your mistakes, second chances, and realizing that people often have surprising depths that may not be readily apparent.
