The New Jersey NETSationals are definitely not ordinary professional basketball hip-hop dancers. Composed of one man and 12 women (all senior citizens), the NETSationals team is, in fact, the first of its kind in sports history. Director Dori Berinstein tackles this unusual topic by starting from the ground up, following the 13 determined dance hopefuls from their initial tryouts all the way to arena glory, crafting an inspiring view of people following their hearts and overcoming the odds.

Well paced documentary that makes you realize what a waste of time it is to have inhibitions. Schiz-y Betsy/Betty has a rockin' " I LOVE MATH" t-shirt and can really move to the hip-hop beat!

I and the three other people in at the Laemmle Music Hall Theater thoroughly enjoyed this film. Can't help smiling at their tenacity, exuberance, and joy of dancing. Gotta give 'em some respect. It's a shame that mainstream film draw such huge audiences and gems like this film struggle to an audience. Go see it and cheer 'em on.

HIP HOP HOORAY! Finally, a film that real people of all ages can relate to! I saw this film at the Tribeca Film Festival and cheered, along with the rest of the audience, when these lively senior citizen hip hop newbies succeed in overcoming their personal challenges and inner demons and achieve victory as the NETSational Seniors! These folks are sure to dance their way into your heart! Put this film on the top of your list of fun things to do this summer!
