Will Okay, if youre already familiar with Tim Robinsons style of comedy, youll enjoy Friendship. For me, a lot of the humor (and a LOT of the cringing) comes from recognizing certain aspects of myself in the characters he plays. It makes me feel seen and psychoanalyzed at the same time. (Needless to say, I wasnt terribly popular in college.) At its core, this is about the fundamental need to connect with others, why its so hard to make friends when youre well into adulthood, and how the need to please is at its worst when its rooted in self-centeredness.
