Easter Bloody Easter lives somewhere between Attack of the Killer Donuts and Winnie the Pooh: Bloody & Honey. A two-and-a-half-star rating doesn’t necessarily indicate a poorly made movie. In fact, it’s a hoot and a half packed with music.

All the ingredients for a fun time are here. The gore is so cheap, it adds to the laughs. I grabbed my popcorn and yelled at the screen for an hour and a half, telling characters how to survive the killer bunnies!

This movie is EXACTLY what it is supposed to be: SO campy, SO ridiculous, SO bloody, and SO fun. The one-liners are incredibly memorable ("guns don't kill people. I do!") and the characters are so over the top ridiculous it ends up being a lot of fun (tin-foil hat guy is a riot!) In the midst of all the mayhem there's a line-dance that made me nostalgic for the 90s films that also had random line dances in them. There's some pacing issues throughout and a few unusual tonal shifts but overall it's a really fun ride. Just go in expecting a B-movie, creature feature horror comedy and you'll have fun. I'll be watching this around Easter annually I think...and maybe high on my next viewing! Lol.

The campy style of Easter Bloody Easter is entertaining (though it doesn't offer anything particularly innovative or exceptional). The setting, characters, and situations are amusing. But the entire middle part of the movie feels unnecessary and meanders without a clear or interesting direction.

Scary? No. Entertaining? Yes. And boy does it know it. This horror comedy will satisfy anyone who enjoys a little campy chaos. Between the blood, the bunnies, and the big laughs that this movie offers, there's plenty for viewers to enjoy. Go give it a watch!
