Gleb K An interesting take on class issues in Russia. In this case, the film specifically deals with petty crime/neighborhood gangs, alcoholism, poverty and how that is all intertwined with family. I feel like the film is slightly overdue, as it would've felt somewhat more relevant ten years prior, but I guess the issues and the story at hand are more shocking because of just how much provincial Russia has stagnated since the 90s. Acting, cinematography, and the soundtrack are just absolutely spectacular. Although somewhat imperfect in its discourse and writing, it is a must-see.
