Paddington in Peru Reviews
...[Paddington in Peru is] a family-friendly jungle adventure that places Paddington and the Browns in the middle of an unexpected quest. Unfortunately, the film lacks momentum for most of its runtime, with the screenplay offering few exciting moments.

Paddington in Peru isn’t the cinematic masterpiece the first two original films were, but it’s still an undeniable delight and proof that we should have at least ten of these films to follow our beloved bear through each of his endeavors.

Colman is even more amusing as the retired bears’ caretaker. She’s infallibly cheery even when what she is saying contradicts her positivity, making the Reverend Mother one of the film’s highlights.

Paddington in Peru retains the warmth and magic of its predecessors with a heartfelt entry that will have young viewers eager to explore the many wonders of our world, both in person and through the magic of storytelling.

Outside of Olivia Colman and Antonio Banderas' performances, I was not a fan. The Paddington character has actually gotten worse.

I quite enjoyed this. It's not as fun or insane as Paddington 2 but there's enough charm here to make this an entertaining watch.

Threequels, ugh.

You are in a comfort zone and it is only you and the bear with a generous smile. Enjoy.

It will tickle your heart and your funny bone.

This series has officially become the "Toy Story" of anthropomorphic talking bear movies.
| Original Score: B | Feb 26, 2025
It works perfectly well in general terms, has its charm and virtues —most of them inherited—but it reaches our cinemas after losing a good amount of its magic along the way.
| Feb 25, 2025
It's not as great as its predecessors, but it's still remarkably charming and fun.

So slow it was almost un-bear-able.

[Paddington in Peru] is the film we expected to find when we went to see the first one, not the one we wanted after enjoying the second one. [Full review in Spanish]

Just don’t let your hopes get “2” high.
| Original Score: 2.5/4 | Feb 24, 2025
The whole film is exhausting: boring, interminable lore-telling intercut with elaborate set-pieces showcasing Paddington’s clumsiness and cupidity.
| Original Score: 1/4 | Feb 24, 2025
Olivia Colman goes with this franchise like bread and marmalade, but the 'Paddington' charm of yore mostly goes out the window.
| Original Score: 3/5 | Feb 24, 2025
An enjoyable adventure emphasizing family as the charming bear traces his roots and gets into precarious situations, all while enjoying heaping helpings of marmalade.

As genuinely innocent, kind-hearted and polite as ever, Paddington stars in a fun and very dynamic adventure in which there is no shortage of surprises and plot twists. [Full review in Spanish]
