Synopsis
Inspired to make a documentary after her 39-year-old daughter was diagnosed with breast cancer, filmmaker Allie Light recruited eight women who had battled the deadly but little-understood disease to investigate the shockingly high rates of breast cancer in the U.S. Light focuses the film on potential chemical and environmental causes, and interviews researchers, scientists and doctors about how radiation, pesticides, birth control and even race can be a factor in developing breast cancer.
