Aiding farmers who are prevented by outlaw raids from getting their produce to market, Sheriff Bill Walters (Ross Ford) arranges for a bank advance to help the farmers pay their loans. The money is delivered by couriers, the last one of whom is murdered and the money stolen. Another courier, Rocky Lane (Allan "Rocky" Lane), learns that gang leader Lacey (Denver Pyle) hopes to cause the forfeiture of farmers' loans to buy the land cheaply, so he joins Bill in a dangerous search for the money.
