The film was average for several reasons: 1) The story is flat, it has literally no connection to the original work. 2) The characters are absolutely awful, especially the Goombas and Yoshi (who is a Velociraptor, as a reminder), along with the Bob-Omb setting, which, let's be honest, is the only positive point here. 3) Some of the special effects are hilarious, some are so well done, some are PowerPoint-based. 4) Some of the characters in the film didn't even deserve to appear, and the idea of making Bowser human is a terrible idea. And 5) The second positive point is the soundtracks. Okay, we didn't get any Mario music except at the beginning of the film, but otherwise, it's still a bit of a reminder. Otherwise, I really liked the soundtracks from start to finish. Just watching "Super Mario Bros. The Movie" from my favorite studio "Illumination" is way more fun!
