There's no real story, a guy just goes around hitting people with a rubber mallet (it's that dumb). And the "acting" is dreadful, and is made immeasurably worse by the amateurish directing. However, The Mangler Reborn was severely lacking in one department--it needed more scenes with the actual Mangler!!!! If you're going to make such a film, you can't skimp on the gore and torture scenes, and this film often denies the very scenes that would make it watchable for fans of crappy horror cinema.
