Harry Alan Potamkin The New Masses I can think of nothing good to say for this production, unless it be the initiative of the group that made it. The film was made independently by people who had nothing better to do and did that badly. Audience Member A fictional documentary about a tribe of Native American Indians; historically important, and beautifully photographed. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/27/23 Full Review Audience Member A fascinating early silent documentary about a an Indian tribe who relied & lived by the land & continually had to fight the silent enemy 'hunger' Filmed all on location & with true Indians not English actors with make up & bad costumes. It's very real & interesting to watch the Indian people depicted honestly & not as savages as the most US productions depict them. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/31/23 Full Review Audience Member Beautiful documentary-like film about the pre-Columbian Ojibway. It's like Edward Curtis's photos come to life.
