Jose Solís Common Sense Media This fast-paced, melodramatic romantic comedy has more twists and turns than a detective mystery, but they are all grounded by a terrific performance by Shezi Sibongiseni as Lethu. Nov 26, 2024 Full Review Read all reviews

Tiisetso P What I loved about it was the cinematography, well shot and loved the camera work. I loved seeing new and young actors, also some of our well known actors and actresses. The hair and makeup team did such a wonderful job. However, the writing was not the best, it felt like of the "Diary of a Zulu Girl" type of writings, which I used to absolutely love down as a teenager. I understood that the idea of it all was a woman having to choose herself over a man. But that was lost in translation with all the unnecessary sex scenes, there were unnecessarily longer than a normal scene, which makes it hard to watch or even enjoy. But I'm glad it wasn't like the normal violent , killings and murder movies that South Africans productions always promote. It was okay. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 11/14/24 Full Review Audience Member This movie was a huge letdown. It felt like it was written by high school students, with about 70% of the content revolving around sex. It seemed more focused on making the sex scenes rather than telling a meaningful or engaging story. The entire film felt like an endless string of casual hookups, when it could have explored the real complexities and challenges of relationships (umjolo). Instead, it leaned heavily on tired tropes of sex and shallow drama. Haven’t we seen enough of that already? A good writer should be able to create something fresh and thought-provoking, but this felt lazy and uninspired. In the end, it was a waste of time, offering no new insights or perspectives. The only reason I kept watching was because of the social media narrator guy. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 11/11/24 Full Review Read all reviews
