Vernel Bagneris found incredible success as an accomplished actor, appearing in a variety of films throughout his Hollywood career. Early on, Bagneris mostly landed roles in various films, including "French Quarter" (1978), the Steve Martin musical "Pennies From Heaven" (1981) and "Down By Law" (1986). He had an early role on the television special "The Gift of Amazing Grace" (ABC, 1986-87).
