The Harder They Fall (2021) 88% 5/5 “It's obvious Jeymes Samuel put his entire heart and soul into The Harder They Fall, as did every actor on the roster. Each character has a defining moment, perfectly complemented by Samuel's camera choices and his original music. An instant classic.” – Subjectify Media Mar 12, 2022 Full Review Kate (2021) 46% 3.5/5 “It's got great fight choreography, wonderful performances from Winstead and Martineau, and a few clever twists, but ultimately the end of the movie left me wanting more.” – Subjectify Media Jan 13, 2022 Full Review Black Widow (2021) 79% 4.5/5 “Not only do we continue to see Natasha's physical prowess, but we also get to witness a more emotional side to the character. This was as much Pugh's movie as Johansson's.” – Hypable Dec 20, 2021 Full Review There's Someone Inside Your House (2021) 47% 4.5/5 “This film has both style and substance. Whether you're a horror aficionado or someone who merely wants a couple good thrills, this movie is worth your time.” – Subjectify Media Dec 20, 2021 Full Review Gunpowder Milkshake (2021) 60% 4.5/5 “Though it provides over-the-top fight sequences and line delivery, the plot is heart-wrenching, the stakes are high, and the interpersonal relationships ground it in reality.” – Hypable Jul 28, 2021 Full Review Mortal Kombat (2021) 55% 4/5 “Mortal Kombat delivered on promises of larger-than-life characters and bone-breaking fight scenes. This could be a fresh start to a new franchise if given the chance.” – Hypable May 3, 2021 Full Review Klaus (2019) 95% 3.5/5 “Klaus has a simple message we would all do well to remember: "A true selfless act always sparks another."” – Hypable Mar 24, 2020 Full Review The Good Liar (2019) 64% 4.5/5 “The Good Liar, starring Helen Mirren and Ian McKellen, is a slow-winding mystery that comes to a head with an understated yet satisfying finale.” – Hypable Mar 24, 2020 Full Review Portrait of a Lady on Fire (2019) 97% 5/5 “Portrait of a Lady on Fire is a must-see French film about love, art, and the inevitabilities of life.” – Hypable Mar 24, 2020 Full Review Spenser Confidential (2020) 35% 3/5 “It's an entertaining movie, even if it doesn't necessarily give us anything we haven't already gotten before.” – Hypable Mar 24, 2020 Full Review All the Bright Places (2020) 67% 3.5/5 “What I loved about All the Bright Places was that it showed two people who were still depressed despite their happiness. It's a realistic take on mental illness, and one that doesn't try to solve the problem.” – Hypable Mar 10, 2020 Full Review The Rocky Horror Picture Show: Let's Do the Time Warp Again (2016) 29% 2/5 “I applaud everyone for trying to recreate the strangely compelling story that was told with the original, but the remake seemed like a toned down version.” – Hypable Feb 28, 2019 Full Review Pilgrimage (2017) 68% B+ “I didn't enjoy this movie because it made me believe in God. I enjoyed this movie because it made me believe in people.” – Hypable Feb 28, 2019 Full Review The Hitman's Bodyguard (2017) 44% A “The Hitman's Bodyguard stars Ryan Reynolds and Samuel L. Jackson doing what they do best: fighting, cursing, and making us laugh. A lot.” – Hypable Feb 28, 2019 Full Review American Assassin (2017) 34% B+ “In terms of the action genre, American Assassin gives you everything you'd want out of this type of film, including explosions, car chases, and tightly choreographed fight sequences.” – Hypable Feb 28, 2019 Full Review Bird Box (2018) 64% 3/5 “Bird Box isn't going to be everyone's favorite movie. It's certainly not mine. But considering I'm still thinking about this film well after I initially watched it, I have to admit it did make an impact.” – Hypable Feb 28, 2019 Full Review
