Captain America: Brave New World (2025) 48% D “'Captain America: Brave New World' is Marvel fatigue personified. It is a bland mess, dragged down by 온라인카지노추천 show tie-ins, humiliating visual effects and a baffling script written by nine people.” – Parade Magazine Feb 16, 2025 Full Review Wicked (2024) 87% A “Following in a long line of legendary adaptations, the Wicked film is sure to remain popular long after it has left theaters. If on your ride home you're asking yourself "what is this feeling?" The answer is: it's history being made. ” – Parade Magazine Jan 2, 2025 Full Review Gladiator II (2024) 70% B- “Overall, Gladiator II is a fun ride and worth watching. Sure the action sequences jump the shark, but perhaps the film should have done even more shark-jumping. I just wouldn't recommend rewatching Gladiator in the leadup.” – Parade Magazine Jan 2, 2025 Full Review Saturday Night (2024) 78% C “'Saturday Night' Is a Captivating, Easter Egg-Laden Roller Coaster That's Ultimately Plotless and Pointless” – Parade Magazine Jan 2, 2025 Full Review Joker: Folie à Deux (2024) 31% C- “It's boring, it's bizarre and it doesn't have enough Lady Gaga. It's not for comic book lovers, it's not for Little Monsters and it's not for fans of Joker. Honestly, it's just plain weird. ” – Parade Magazine Oct 4, 2024 Full Review Twisters (2024) 75% A “Twisters is better than Twister and better than most other movies that have hit theaters this summer. If I could prognosticate on the trajectories of films, I'd blow a dandelion into the air, slowly turn, and shout, "We've got an EF5 hit coming our way!" ” – Parade Magazine Aug 15, 2024 Full Review Inside Out 2 (2024) 91% B “While Inside Out 2 might lack the emotional gut punch of some of Pixar's previous entries, it's short, sweet and competently crafted. While it might not be Pixar's best, it's also not their worst, and that's a much needed win for the studio. ” – Parade Magazine Aug 15, 2024 Full Review The Fall Guy (2024) 82% B- “'The Fall Guy' Is a Cute Rom-Com Buried in a Convoluted Action Movie.” – Parade Magazine Aug 15, 2024 Full Review Challengers (2024) 88% A+ “Challengers is a layered masterclass in screenwriting elevated at each turn by the many craftspeople who contribute to a feature. I could end this review by saying its "an ace," but there are already too many tennis puns floating around the internet. ” – Parade Magazine Aug 15, 2024 Full Review Dune: Part Two (2024) 92% A “Dune: Part Two is a masterpiece that surpasses the high expectations set by Part One, a movie so good, it will make you forget the horror of its popcorn bucket. ” – Parade Magazine Aug 15, 2024 Full Review Mean Girls (2024) 69% B “Mean Girls is a mostly fun musical that desperately needs to shed its fat plotline. ” – Parade Magazine Aug 15, 2024 Full Review The Color Purple (2023) 81% A “The Color Purple is a complete and total success from start to finish, and manages to take what was already a classic story and make it better. And while praise should be lavished on everyone, there should be a little bit extra for Taraji. ” – Parade Magazine Dec 28, 2023 Full Review Wonka (2023) 82% D “The snoozy prequel to 'Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory' drags viewers on a factory tour devoid of vocal talent, interesting characters and pure imagination.” – Parade Magazine Dec 15, 2023 Full Review The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes (2023) 64% B- “At nearly three-hours long, the movie gives you too much of some things and not nearly enough of others. Still, for all its flaws, at least critics can't say, "It didn't follow the book." ” – Parade Magazine Nov 17, 2023 Full Review The Marvels (2023) 62% A- “'The Marvels' Is the MCU's best movie in years. The film excels by separating itself from MCU lore, shortening the runtime and leaning on humor and heart.” – Parade Magazine Nov 10, 2023 Full Review Killers of the Flower Moon (2023) 93% A- “A well-crafted legacy to its creators and a monument to the Osage people and their resilience. ” – Parade Magazine Oct 24, 2023 Full Review Next Goal Wins (2023) 46% B- “Next Goal Wins does, however, serve as a reminder to filmmakers out there. Just because you enjoy watching a film, doesn't mean you need to remake it. ” – Parade Magazine Sep 16, 2023 Full Review A Haunting in Venice (2023) 75% C “Agatha Christie's famed detective has now solved three cases under the Shakespearean actor's direction, but the latest, starring Tina Fey and Michelle Yeoh, still suffers from rigor mortis.” – Parade Magazine Sep 16, 2023 Full Review Strays (2023) 54% C- “There are a few golden (buttery) scraps strewn around like discarded pizza crusts. You'll just have to paw through some garbage to find them. ” – Parade Magazine Aug 17, 2023 Full Review All Quiet on the Western Front (2022) 90% A “It’s one of the most artfully rendered and least “oorah”-shouting war films in recent history.” – Smash Cut Reviews Jul 29, 2023 Full Review Empire of Light (2022) 45% A- “Some have called out the screenplay as the singular weak spot in this barrage of masterclass craftsmanship, but I’d argue that the loose threads contribute to the melancholy vignette quality of the film.” – Smash Cut Reviews Jul 29, 2023 Full Review Moving On (2022) 75% B “Moving On is not groundbreaking cinema, but it doesn’t need to be. Honestly, it’s the better for it.” – Smash Cut Reviews Jul 29, 2023 Full Review The Super Mario Bros. Movie (2023) 59% B “While the references are sure to charm Nintendo lovers, and the standard Illumination-style cartoon humor will please youngsters, the film otherwise doesn’t have a ton to offer.” – AV Club Apr 4, 2023 Full Review Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania (2023) 46% B- “Quantumania’s tone is sure to be polarizing, but if you can surrender yourself to its bonkers A Bug’s Life-meets-Return of the Jedi antics, the two hours (already short for a Marvel film) will fly by.” – AV Club Feb 14, 2023 Full Review Living (2022) 96% A “A gentle, expertly crafted meditation on dying and, of course, living.” – AV Club Dec 22, 2022 Full Review
