Thunderbolts* (2025) 88% 7.5/10 EDIT “Initially, I wasn't sure about Thunderbolts, but I ended up truly enjoying the film. I enjoy Lewis Pullman's performance as Sentry and the tonal shift of the film exploring mental health and human connection in second half of the film. It's a good one!” – JVS Media & Productions/Team JVS May 19, 2025 Full Review The Accountant 2 (2025) 76% 9/10 EDIT “As a dad with a autistic son, I'm connected. Loved the first one, and this sequel delivers more action with a body-cop twist with brothers. Affleck handles autism with great care. Bernthal's portrayal is key as the neurotypical brother trying to connect.” – JVS Media & Productions/Team JVS May 19, 2025 Full Review Havoc (2025) 63% 5.5/10 EDIT “Evans is a master of action, he delivers in action here, but the story lacks depth. Characters are forgettable, though the fight scenes are top-notch. Not his best, but still a fun watch. Gangs of London & The Raid films are still his masterpieces.” – JVS Media & Productions/Team JVS May 19, 2025 Full Review Hurry Up Tomorrow (2025) 15% 7.5/10 EDIT “Stunning visuals & great performance by Ortega & The Weeknd elevating this artsy exploration of an artists life and suffering/sacrificed required along the way. Not for everyone, but I do this film truly” – JVS Media & Productions/Team JVS May 19, 2025 Full Review Warfare (2025) 93% 10/10 EDIT “WARFARE is one of the most intense and yet essential pieces of war cinema you’ll ever witness. Sound design, camera work, acting, all there! With a trusted sense of devotion to those who serve & a precision to cinematic immersion never seen. GREAT!” – JVS Media & Productions/Team JVS Apr 20, 2025 Full Review Sinners (2025) 97% 10/10 EDIT “Top-tier cinematic achievement! Best seen in IMAX, the music & storytelling from Coogler/Ludwig is so well interwoven one cannot exist without the other. Powerful performances especially Jordan's dual roles. Even end epilogue is next level. A Masterpiece!” – JVS Media & Productions/Team JVS Apr 20, 2025 Full Review The Shadow Strays (2024) 91% A EDIT “The Shadow Strays is a high octane action, bone crushing violence, & yet emotionally resonant with characters & the world Timo Tjahjanto has created! Only regret is not all will see on big screen. This is a must see action film for 2024!” – JVS Media & Productions/Team JVS Oct 19, 2024 Full Review Exhibiting Forgiveness (2024) 95% 10/10 EDIT “This is a emotionally resonant masterpiece! The scenes, transitions, & imagery are seamless. Yet the actors are giving award worthy performances across the board, all the while Titus Kaphar's raw direction in his film debut is amazing! AN UNMISSABLE FILM!” – JVS Media & Productions/Team JVS Oct 17, 2024 Full Review Push (2024) - - B+ EDIT “Justin & David take the home invasion horror concept & add dimensions to tension. Elevating the audiences concern with a great performance from Alicia & a silent yet unrelenting performance from Raul. Great score, well filmed, & pure horror entertainment!” – JVS Media & Productions/Team JVS Oct 17, 2024 Full Review Maria (2024) 75% 8/10 EDIT “Angelina gives an Oscar worthy performance, and with Pablo at the directors chair we feel the power and resilience of a human legend through her ups and downs. Emotionally charged, great character stuff, and is very well shot film. A must watch!” – JVS Media & Productions/Team JVS Oct 17, 2024 Full Review Deadpool & Wolverine (2024) 78% A- EDIT “Deadpool & Wolverine is one of the most entertaining Marvel films I've seen in years. Beyond hilarious, satisfying in terms of action & violence, it leaves you with this filling of fulfillment in payoffs to moments we've waited for years. A day one watch!” – JVS Media & Productions/Team JVS Jul 24, 2024 Full Review Longlegs (2024) 86% A+ EDIT “It may be one of the best horror films I've seen in the past 10 years & is one of the best movies this year! Down to the framing, the blocking, the cinematography, the acting. Everything about this film will disturb you & taunt you in a very demented way.” – JVS Media & Productions/Team JVS Jul 11, 2024 Full Review Rebel Moon: Part One - A Child of Fire (2023) 22% 7/10 EDIT “Yet again Snyder shows why he is one of the best visionary directors! The worlds, creatures, set design, & other worldly spectacle is definitely a standout! I wanted more filled in gaps and more brutality but I’m very intrigued to see where Part Two goes.” – JVS Media & Productions/Team JVS Dec 20, 2023 Full Review Blood for Dust (2023) 78% A+ EDIT “Blood for Dust was intense start to finish! Blackhurst direction & scene setup are next level, tense score and tone leaves it feel like anything could happen. Harrington & McNairy truly shine in this film, showings levels of darkness/consequence equally!” – JVS Media & Productions/Team JVS Jul 13, 2023 Full Review Creed III (2023) 89% B+ EDIT “A great standout for Jordan’s first film. The fights & choreography are some of the best of the trilogy, the relationship progression & character evolution that I really loved. Such great chemistry with the whole cast, yet Majors is a powerhouse here!” – JVS Media & Productions/Team JVS Feb 26, 2023 Full Review Knock at the Cabin (2023) 67% B EDIT “This was not what I expected but for some reason it’s tight enough & stationary enough for me to really get behind the narrative. Great acting from Batista & surrounding cast. But it’s Shyamalan that shines through in this dramatic thriller with a message” – JVS Media & Productions/Team JVS Feb 2, 2023 Full Review M3GAN (2022) 93% B+ EDIT “M3GAN is some kind of a way one the most entertaining thriller horrors I’ve seen in a while. It’s all dude to the title character who as dedicated/devoted as she is deadly/demented and I’m all here for it! Even with the cheese and camp it works!” – JVS Media & Productions/Team JVS Jan 6, 2023 Full Review Where the Crawdads Sing (2022) 34% 9/10 EDIT “Where the Crawdads Sing feels like a novel truly coming to life. The scripting, the dialogue, the scenery choices, the score, has it all of the pieces to make you feel its great pacing & progression. The story may be harsh but its all the more encouraging” – JVS Media & Productions/Team JVS Jan 1, 2023 Full Review White Noise (2022) 64% 6.5/10 EDIT “At times doesn't feel like it knows where it needs to lead into. The director pulls some great shorts and transitions, the cast plays to their respective roles well. But as the story progresses it feels all over the place & some themes just aren't touched” – JVS Media & Productions/Team JVS Jan 1, 2023 Full Review The Menu (2022) 88% 9/10 EDIT “The Menu is just out there, its violent, intentionally creepy, dark, and at times horrifically comedic and I truly loved every minute of it. With a great cast, very interesting concept for the script & devotion to the characters is always felt. A MUST SEE” – JVS Media & Productions/Team JVS Jan 1, 2023 Full Review The Inspection (2022) 88% 9/10 EDIT “Director Elegance Bratton's first film is captivating. An autobiography of his own struggles & testimony navigating through going into the military & working towards a relationship with his mother. Powerful scripting and performance from lead Jeremy Pope!” – JVS Media & Productions/Team JVS Jan 1, 2023 Full Review Nope (2022) 83% 6.5/10 EDIT “NOPE has ground breaking cinematography and sound design. If seen in theaters or under surround sound, you truly feel like something is out there. Palmer and Kaluuya have great performances, but it was Steve Yeun's character that was most engaging here” – JVS Media & Productions/Team JVS Jan 1, 2023 Full Review Women Talking (2022) 90% 10/10 EDIT “Women Talking has some of the strongest ensemble performance of 2022! The script on this film is Oscar worthy, having so many different perspectives of emotions, thoughts, and communication. The production and score are just bonuses. A MUST WATCH FILM!” – JVS Media & Productions/Team JVS Jan 1, 2023 Full Review Devotion (2022) 81% 6.5/10 EDIT “Devotion handles the story of Jesse Brown and he make on his story with a heroic level of care. Majors is great her, he is such a talent that you feel all the layers of Jesse's existence as a black pilot. Great chemistry between him and Powell as well!” – JVS Media & Productions/Team JVS Jan 1, 2023 Full Review She Said (2022) 88% 9/10 EDIT “She Said is a very good film. The script is tight and feel very organic, even with things still in flux now they allow for the story to experience the lives tragically impacted by this case and the individual involved. Great performances through!” – JVS Media & Productions/Team JVS Jan 1, 2023 Full Review
