Solvent (2024) 94% 7/10 “The multiple layers and subtext in Solvent alone make it worth a watch, and adding the bizarre visuals, creepy locations and contagious psychosis are the icing on the cake.” – PopHorror.com Dec 10, 2024 Full Review Psychosis (2023) 100% “If you’re looking for an excellent dark comedy with a bumbling antihero, a disturbing mentalist of a villain and some possible zombies, do yourself a favor and check out Pirie Martin’s Psychosis.” – PopHorror.com Jun 21, 2024 Full Review Rattlers 2 (2021) 5/10 “Overall, search Rattlers 2 is a great homage to the original 1976 film.” – PopHorror.com Sep 21, 2023 Full Review Beyond the Gates of Hell (2022) 80% 6/10 “The editing is tight and the story is streamlined. There’s really no padding here, and the film is much better for it.” – PopHorror.com Sep 21, 2023 Full Review Wyrmwood: Apocalypse (2021) 85% 9/10 “Wyrmwood: Apocalypse has the same non-stop action, pitch black humor, neon-bright, high-intensity violence, and awful, offal gore as its predecessor. ” – PopHorror.com Apr 11, 2022 Full Review Dog Soldiers (2002) 82% 9/10 “... even our most sturdy and strategically minded soldiers are no match against these omnipotent beasts. Theyre smart as hell and work together much the same as the soldiers themselves are trained to do.” – PopHorror.com Apr 2, 2022 Full Review Bitch Ass (2022) 70% 7.5/10 “The world has a brand new slasher villain, and his name is Bitch Ass.” – PopHorror.com Mar 23, 2022 Full Review Devil Story (1985) 2/10 “Slow burns can be a bit tedious. However, Devil Story is not a slow burn. It's plodding, slow, and repetitive... and there's no storyline here.” – PopHorror.com Jan 29, 2022 Full Review The Cellar (1989) “The Cellar is a fun creature feature with an interesting story, a cool-looking monster (I love the way it drags itself around), and great chemistry between the cast members.” – PopHorror.com May 8, 2021 Full Review Rush Week (1989) “Rush Week is rather generic slasher slasher fair.” – PopHorror.com May 8, 2021 Full Review My Dead Ones (2018) “My Dead Ones is a surreal, out-of-body trip through one man's psychosis and his yearning for acceptance and love.” – PopHorror.com May 8, 2021 Full Review The Beast Beneath (2020) “If you're looking for an hour's worth of cheesy fun and familiar indie faces, check out Dustin Ferguson's The Beast Beneath.” – PopHorror.com May 8, 2021 Full Review The Parish (2019) “The Parish is a great story about a woman and her daughter struggling after suffering a huge loss, only to be hit with an even bigger horror once they move.” – PopHorror.com May 8, 2021 Full Review Painkiller (2021) 100% “It's more than a vigilante Death Wish wannabe film. It's an important story that needs to be told, and people need to listen.” – PopHorror.com May 8, 2021 Full Review Jakob's Wife (2021) 84% 8/10 “Watching Barbara Crampton's Anne go from mousy, sensible shoes-wearing preacher's wife to salacious blonde bombshell is one of the highlights of the film.” – PopHorror.com Mar 21, 2021 Full Review Son (2021) 79% 8.5/10 “Son is a tense thrill ride that explodes with a mother's love for her son.” – PopHorror.com Mar 1, 2021 Full Review 12 Hour Shift (2020) 78% 7/10 “Brea Grant's 12 Hour Shift is an original, creative jaunt down the dark, bloody road of organ harvesting, drug addiction, and self-serving decisions.” – PopHorror.com Feb 26, 2021 Full Review 13 Slays Till X-Mas (2020) 9/10 “The humor, gore, offbeat kills, and corny one-liners make [PJ Starks'] projects so freaking fun to watch.” – PopHorror.com Jan 11, 2021 Full Review Bloodthirsty (2020) 80% 7/10 “Below the fact that a woman slowly begins to realize that her original form is something supernatural hides a human hiding from her own nature.” – PopHorror.com Dec 8, 2020 Full Review Luz: The Flower of Evil (2019) 93% 8/10 “Luz: The Flower Of Evil is an orgasm of the senses.” – PopHorror.com Dec 8, 2020 Full Review Greatland (2020) 71% 10/10 “A world where everyone must be accepting of all others to the point where it becomes a crime to judge another person... is just as implausible as one where the rich take full advantage of the poor... without expecting... mutinous repercussions.” – PopHorror.com Dec 8, 2020 Full Review The Good Things Devils Do (2020) 7/10 “All told, The Good Things Devils Do is a chaotic, ichor-drenched romp full of screeching demons, dripping entrails, and squelching blood and guts.” – PopHorror.com Aug 20, 2020 Full Review Friday the 13th (1980) 67% 8/10 “The likable, non-stereotypical teens in Friday the 13th didn't do anything wrong per se, yet they get punished. It makes you wonder if there's any ex-[your job here] running around out there, just looking for the right time to strike.” – PopHorror.com May 10, 2020 Full Review Deadline (1980) 4/10 “I was hoping to see an In The Mouth Of Madness-type of spiral into blood-drenched insanity. What I got was a stressed out guy with a messed up life who couldn't stop imagining ghastly, grisly scenes.” – PopHorror.com Mar 31, 2020 Full Review Unmasked: Part 25 (1989) 7/10 “I honestly can't believe this film isn't more well known. It has the humor, gore and kill count to make it one of the best meta horror films out there.” – PopHorror.com Dec 10, 2019 Full Review
