Tomatometer-approved critic
Biography:
I have been reviewing films professionally for four years and i have taken my craft on multiple platforms. From live television to radio segments and also online magazines. My passion for cinema and television has always led me to work in creative environments. I started writing for myself at first until the editor of a Canadian digital magazine gave me an opportunity to share my passion with their audience. I was able to professionally review both film and television related content and share my thoughts professionally. Upon realizing how contagious my passion for film and television was, SHIFTER decided to grant me the opportunity that would eventually send me on my current career path: I was promoted to section editor and given the task to assemble a team of writers who would commit themselves to prove commentary on film and television related events. The success we found within our community was almost instantaneous.
Within months, every members of my team were given the opportunity to go on live television/radio and cover events such as TIFF and Comic Con. A year later, I received the opportunity to interview Lenny Abrahamson, the academy award Canadian director and screenwriter behind ROOM, starring Jacob Tremblay and Brie Larson. Another few years went by until CBC Radio gave me a call to write film segments for one of their live shows.I was eventually given a dedicated time slot on the show CBC All in a day hosted by Alan Neal in Ottawa and now work as a film critic on live radio.

“what really makes this film such an interesting piece of art is the animation style itself. Indeed, Masaaki Yuasa borrows from his previous work and really unapologetically allows himself to go in all the directions possible.” –
