Loved this as a kid and still do! Vega, Bison and Chun Li look great and the cast is having a blast in this big, campy Saturday-morning cartoon of a movie! Features Van Damme in his heyday and a scenery-chewing showstopper in Raul Julia. Shout-outs to the awesome Ming Na-Wen and Wes Studi as well!

As a Van Damme and Streetfighter fan, this is awful. It has nothing to do with a fighting tournament like the classic game, nothing to do with street fighting full stop, the characters are awful (Sagat, Dhalsim and M.Bison anyone?) and stars Kylie Minogue. Enough said.

Totally insufferable with no redeeming qualities. Every line in this movie feels like cats scratching a blackboard.

I love this movie, loved it as a kid and still love it now. The actors they picked to play the characters are a 10/10. Jean is great as Guile, all the characters are awsome. Great movie and very funny.

It's not good don't get me wrong. But its so campy that it ends up being entertaining. Also Raul Julia's performance as Bison is 100/10 stars

Say what you will, Street Fighter might get a lot of hate and crap talk against it but it's still a fun watch and one of the best video game Adaptions ever, and plus Jean-Claude Van Damme starred in this one!!!!

I'm really starting off September right with a rewatch of this absolute travesty of a movie. So much of this movie doesn't work, but it's done in such a way that it secretly becomes a galaxy-level car crash, thanks largely in part to the legendary performance of Raúl Juliá. The man had one foot in the grave and turned in a performance that's not even so bad it's good, more like so great it's perfect. M Bison is the best part of the entire film as Juliá elevates the cliche and mundane dialogue to the level of a god, everything he says is gold. Van Damme as Guile seems perfect as does most of the other casting choices but they can't bring the same level of Shakespearean excellence to their roles that Juliá delivers in spades, it's a well-cast picture but they all pale in comparison to that of a god. Steven E. de Souza's Street Fighter certainly has its charm through all the disorientating editing, uneven story and pervasive electronic score; it offers bright colourful action, hammy entertainment and so many campy one-liners. I love it.

Amazing movie. Little Mermaid could have taken some pointers from this live action masterpiece.

Yeah, I've never played Street Fighter, so this did nothing for me. Supremely weird.

Como adaptación del videojuego tiene ciertos fallos y desapego, pero cumple bien como otra clásica cinta de acción de la época. Van Damme como Guile no puede convencer, pero es una figura de acción a la cual es imposible no querer (aunque cometió la estupidez de drogarse durante el rodaje). Raul Julia tiene momentos sobreactuados, pero su versión de Bison es entrañable, ya que tiene algo del aire del villano de los juegos. Además, al ser su último papel antes de morir, este Bison es otro de los papeles por los que Julia siempre será recordado. La mayoría del elenco parecen cosplayers, pero al menos la apariencia de algunos y algunos trajes son iguales a los del juego. La película tiene momentos humorísticos, algo infantiles, como Bison usando un joystick para controlar minas explosivas, pero hasta los juegos son algo infantiles y tienen momentos caricaturescos, así que no es raro que la película tenga humor, aunque eso le quita algo de la seriedad de la trama. Street Fighter no cumple como buena adaptación, pero es una película de acción bastante entretenida. Mi calificación para esta película es un 8/10.

Street Fighter is an incredibly campy 90s arcade film. It has vibrant colors, corny one-liners, and an extremely over-the-top villain that sets the tone for the film. However, the acting in this film is not the best, with the best performance coming from Ming-Na Wen. The story is not the best, and is actually incredibly predictable and boring. The film was clearly intended to be an action film, yet it more so comes off as a parody comedy film that features action. It is another video game adaptation that falls flat. A bad movie that I would categorize as "enjoyably bad." 2/10.

I think this movie is great, I also think Raul Julia's posthumous performance of General M. Bison is great.

A gloriously Bad Film. Cheesy dialogue, over the top performances and too many characters to really flesh out the story. The cinematography is terrible with cheap looking sets that do have a hint of creativity in them along with camera work that anges from ok to terrible particularly in the fight sequences. alot of the shots don't even have all the fighters in focus and are off cut off. The music is the most stable thing in this. Being generic and forgettable but not bad. The editing is terrible with too much fast cutting during the fights, weird slow motion sometimes and too much cutting back and forth between the different characters especially in the middle of the film. Which brings to focus the not good pacing. The film lacks focus and tries to make up for it with over the top action scenes that are ridiculous and aren't worth the investment of time. The film starts out campy and cheesy but in a charming way and than gets boring and than becomes laughably bad with the ending. You can tell though everyone had fun making this despite the fact so it does give it a charm overall. Its also worth noting for a movie called Street fighter there is actually very little street fighting occurring. Just play the games and forget about this.
