Jack Frost Reviews
Ignore the stupid critics. They are always wrong. Movie was excellent. Pulls at the heart strings and a little sad in parts but also a very happy experience and caring story. One of my must see Christmas movies every year. Would love to see this re-released in blu-ray or 4K.
Weird but funny in a nostalgic way.
This is a truly breathtaking film, I could not think of a single improvement this film could make, I've been present at 25 child births and none of them made me tear up more than this film, I wish I was alive to have been able to see this on the big screen
This movie is definitely worth to watch at least one Christmas. It may have depressing topics but at the same time it’s heartwarming seeing the interactions with Jack Frost and his son. It’s a movie that doesn’t shy away from being sad while also being enjoyable to watch for the whole family. Also Micheal Keaton is great to watch in this movie!
I lost my father in 1997 when I was 5 years old. Watching Jack Frost in 1998 in the theatre was a more scaring experience than my dads funeral. It is the a shallow view of a child losing a parent and a horrible movie
It’s really cringe and I wanted to murder Michael, it’s so stupid how he turned into a snowman and I wanted to burn the dvd
Jack Frost is a Skeleton, and now my classmates hates me.
Just rewatched again this holidays and had me crying!!! Great film!!!
Good movie very well played
Jack Frost has very catchy rhythms as the film is very dull and needs bulked up a bit more with more scenes but the one thing I can take from the film is how to cope with grief and how precious time is.
The design of Jack, himself, drags the entire film experience down further than it already would be if the design was more palatable and thought-out.
10/10 holiday movie. What are these reviews? If it was a superhero movie the critics would love it.
Jack Frost is a dud in FX, story, and performance.
The live snowman special effects aren't bad (especially for 1998) and even with Michael Keaton at the center, this absolutely mishandled family flick manages to be a bit incoherent, boring and slightly agitating with it's mechanical reliance on sentimentality.
Actors try their best here to make a silk purse out of a sows ear. Characters are flat. A twist on kid loses parent. There just isn't enough story nor character development to even make the audience care, or really feel anything. They wanted to make a picture about a snowman; they did it. No one asked. It just feels like a studio trying to make a cash grab during Christmas, turning to their shelf of C level scripts collecting dust, pulling this from the bottom of the pile, and saying, oh yeah, kids will drag their parents to the theater to see THIS!
This is CHRISTMAS! Critics get ur head out Of ur butts n lighten up!
It's cheesy and it's great! We watch it every Christmas season. It's sweet and a bit sad, we love it.
What a festive film! It really needs a fine defining remaster, as well as it's OST.
horror film as in, horrible film
Absolutely terrible. Lol
