See No Evil Reviews
mmm i'll be honest, i fell asleep.
Fast-paced cuts, shaking, and Jacob Ladder sequences just make it look so dated and infantile. And as the movie slowly goes through the list of checkboxes to its predictable twist, any sympathy for Kane this movie tries to put together is quashed.
See no evil , tem uma excelente fotografia e ótima direção. A história é clichê porém e bem executada e as mortes são até uma alegoria pelo fato de termos jovens antipáticos e que não simpatizamos
Big fan of the movie , ( even though I am ) you don't have be a fan of wwe to like this horror movie - it's heavily underrated. Decent Lore , characters can be considered lackluster but the ones who matter aren't bad , the kills , fight scenes are done well and Michaels " Redemption Ark " was great.
The premise should work but the script never does.
My rating for the film is a 3.6/10
Dark has a specific, very gritty style that comes close to some of the greats; namely William Malone. However his direction in story may not be as great. I felt that See No Evil works on a very basic level. It produces an interesting story, understandable characters, a back-story and generally good pacing. But the film doesn't go much further. I loved the production design because of it's grittiness however sometimes it felt cheap and unrealistic, more like a theatre show than a proper Hollywood Picture. Compared to other slashers of its time I would put this at more-or-less the same level. Although I did find it interesting that Kane was actually good at acting - I mean, he only has one line but he expresses emotions through his eyes and I really enjoyed that. In Conclusion, See No Evil comes as another slasher without any new takes or perspectives on anything - made up for by a talented Kane and a generally good production value.
Apart from good kills and a decent score by Tyler Bates (Half Past Dead, City of Ghosts) it's suffers from poor writing, mediocre acting, bad editing and pretty awful CGI
This is far from original. It is a pathetic horror. It seemed obvious that they saved their entire budget for the ridiculous, over-the-top, ludicrous ending. If the whole film was like the ending then it would have been very good. The gore wasn't even that gross. There was no depth or atmosphere. A lacklustre effort. The overblown and fun ending barely improves a terrible attempt at a horror movie.
When Dan Madigan was a writer for WWE, he pitched a character that would have Jon Heidenreich become a thawed Nazi named Baron Von Bava, revived by the Jewish Paul Heyman, whose mother survived the Holocaust, complete with goosestepping and armband like a 1950s heel. Somehow, he didn't make it in wrestling. He did, however, write this movie. Originally called Eye Scream Man, The Goodnight Man and Goodnight, this stars WWE wrestler — and current mayor of Knox City, TN — Kane as Jacob Goodnight. It also made $45 million on an $8 million dollar budget. Years ago, Officer Frank Williams barely survived facing off with a killing machine in an abandoned house, losing his arm while his partner is killed and seven victims lose their eyes to a killer that somehow survived being shot in the head. Now, he's a social worker that's part of the team that's helping twentysomething teenagers work off their community service by cleaning up the abandoned Blackwell Hotel so that it can become a homeless shelter. It's all a trap as Jacob Goodnight is there to destroy anyone that intrudes on his turf, usually by using hooks and taking their eyeballs, unless they have religious tattoos. It's a dark and dirty looking 2000s slasher, but Dark's talent as a director makes it better than it should be, which is the story of every movie he made. Producer Vince McMahon supposedly had one suggestion: give Kane a three foot cock.
I love the entire spectrum of horror movies. From the horribly acted and poorly produced all the way to award winning films. If you love the genre, this is for you. Yea, it not going to be sweeping award season but it's def worth the watch.
Bro, why the fuck did my pea brain 12 yr old self love this film back when SYFY aired it every weekend? This was absolutely garbage. That end credit scene is a great metaphor for what this film is; dog piss
A cat and mouse gore & scare fest. I first heard about this film many years ago via WWE as Kane was one of my favourite wrestlers, so I decided to check the film out, and I was pleasantly surprised with how good this horror flick is. Sure it's got your classic horror movie cliches but it utilises them in a fresh and unique way, and also Jacob goodnight is a terrifying and complex villain who is a psychopath and a murderer, but he's also very troubled and I feel the story did well to show how Jacob ends this way. So in conclusion if your just a fan of general gore and scare horror fests this is the film for you l, or if your a fan of wwe superstar Kane still check this film out it's generally a underrated and enjoyable horror flick.
Had an okay plotline, though there was a weird supernatural bit to it that went unexplained. Had some gruesomeness and suspense. It was interesting to watch, but not great.
Dark and creepy, See No Evil has one of the best settings I've seen in a slasher film. Unfortunately, there are just too many unlikeable characters played by actors that simply can't act. The script was also pretty bad. These things were all unforgivable and stopped this from being a top-notch horror film.
Sure it's a formulaic slasher film, but it's loads of fun. The kids in it are all around shitheads, but that makes it easier to cheer for their demise. And boy howdy, do they get it! Kane is great in it, as the hulking beast and there's some gnarly kills. It's too bad this didn't become more of a franchise.
Horor Movie with Excited non Stop (After 30 min) ,Old School Plot Look like i seen this plot before ,not to hard to predict Plot twist ,something Still not Make sense Enough But i still enjoy
