The Perfect Game Reviews
I loved this... i didn't find it boring, i might be a baseball fanatic but this needs more attention frfr.
Excellent movie. Predictable ending but it doesn't matter. Morality, sportsmanship, faith, sports. This is all woven together to tell the heartwarming story of an incredible underdog team from Mexico. Kid friendly with very light language, no nudity, and no violence. Some racial themes may provide opportunity for family discussion, but overall a real gem.
Bad acting, but good story.
This movie was touching and enjoyable. It shows the underdog has a chance with heart. Recommended for family viewing.
Incredible story with a big potential which, sadly, could not be exploited. Bad directing, careless photography and a over dramatic soundtrack.
Those boys lived an American Dream!
What a charming story. Another great underdog movie that I recommend to anyone who appreciate feel good movie that you would watch again.
Every person commenting this is just your run-of-the-mill baseball movie. This was one of the few movies I saw growing up where a majority of the people were brown in a positive way. Fuck you guys.
Cute enough because of the true story, but the film does nothing to differentiate itself from 10000 other films just like it.
This family sports drama was really good. Clifton Collins Jr, Cheech Marin, Emilie de Ravin, Carlos Gomez, and the rest of the cast did a fantastic job in this movie. This true story was very inspirational and entertaining. It's about doing the impossible and believing in yourself and your teammates. If you haven't seen this movie yet, check it out sometime. It's worth seeing.
The movie is great, you have to understand it is about poor kids from a little known community in Mexico at the time. A dream come true, with the help of skill and faith in our Lord. Negative reviews have no concept of the poor conditions at the time, let alone today, only we as Americans are so vain, we think everyone has what we have. Many communities in the world, barely survive, let alone afford a basic education for their children. These children had no money, and no sponsor, as our leagues here in US did, including parents with money.
With the team dynamic's growth and social perspective, this crowd-pleaser continuously ran to the next base as a cheerful triumphant that manageably prove how effective an underdog story can still be apart from the predictable formula when the rooting strategy surprises you as reflection to the facts. (B+)
True stories seem to always be the best stories! If it wasn't real it would be hard to believe but since it is, it makes it one of the best sports underdog movies of all time!
One of the greatest underdog true stories ever. If you have a dream that seems out of reach, see this film. The Perfect Game delivers a home run.
The Perfect Game: Or how a certain sports movie formula no matter how overdone always provides a decent watch. Seems just the same to me as McFarland, USA, but still doesn't disappoint.
absolutely loved it!!! it talks about the dreams the dreams everyone of us have, maybe some of us do not want to be professional baseball players, but maybe actors, maybe presidents, maybe models or every thing you found some kind of hard to get there.
The ultimate underdog story brings inspiration for many who love the game of baseball and how those brave group of boys changed the game forever
