Utter balderdash. Who knew they made movies this bad unless this was supposed to be a parody. Painfully bad.

This movie was so bad I don't even know where to start so I'll leave it at that.

I watched the film because Michael Fassbender is one of my favourite actors and he doesn't fail. However, the rest of the film is terrible. The acting isn't good... in fact it's quite hard to watch. There is too much use of green screen, which is very obvious, (I know the films 10 years old now). The whole pace and speed of the film is very slow, I failed to become emotionally connected to the film.

Well, it is pretty to look at --- and a young Michael Fassbender only adds to the scenery.

The first half of the movie is the rise of Angel. The feeling is then surrealist, like living in the insanity ourselves. It is too outlandish, too fabulous to be real. I kept wishing for some explosion to break the spell. It comes with the announcement of the first world war, a relief! We don't see much of that since the film keeps with Angel's view. The film remains lightly made and never get gritty. This film is actually very extraordinary in making me feel the delusion, the alternate reality, something I never felt watching more out-of-this-world films like science fiction. The fact that it ressemble reality closely may account for this effect. It's a distrubing feeling but even then, I still couldn't miss how they would end the story. Afterward, I wanted to know if such a person existed. In some way, maybe we can imagine that some old aunt could be deluded in a romantic way like that. There are lots of popular romantic books, isn't there?

When bad movies happen to good casts.

I seriously love this movie. It's a tragic portrayal about the life of a famous novelist who lives in her dreams.

Sorry. But every time Angel opened her mouth I wanted to shut the movie off. I found her annoying and bratty. Esme was bore. I never saw the passion or interest in them. I didn't even believe Angel's love for Esme even after his death, or his betrayal. I didn't buy it one second. I only liked Theo's character and he wasn't a main character.

Francois Ozon is known for his Luminious and artfully skilled craftmanship. Angel However lacks character, heart and soul. This movie could have so much better, but that's not to say it was bad. If you accept the fact that this was filmed as if it were made in the past and come to see of it more as a dream of her real life more than the actual reality of it (does that make sense?), then it seems a heck of a lot better.

Segt, segt, segt... totalt avsaknad av intresse väckande story. Undvik den.

Depressing and a little unbearable. I guess what annoyed me the most was Angel's lack of reality and her over the top boldness. I really have to give credit to Michael Fassbender and Lucy Russell for this film.

Bättre än förväntat!

Är ett stort Nutley/Bergström fan, men dessvärre var den här filmen inte den bästa men den funkar absolut att se! Lassgård håller filmen flytande!

Vaya bodrio! Pretentious and overacted.

I couldn't find any depth to the characters under the visual surface.

Helena Bergström är ett verkligt bra skådis!

Inte nog med att det är värdelöst,inkompetent,töntigt,löljigt och exremt fånigt, det är dessutom väldigt tråkigt, Rolf Lassgård skulle lagt av skådespelar karriären 1990 och börjat som takläggare i stället

Gillar Helena Bergström och Rickard Wolf tillsammans! Klart sevärd!
