Different for a remake (Running Man). Get your wife off a pedestal, then make a movie. Gave it 2 stars because of Doom-Head, without him this is trash.
Zombies best film in my opinion. I like how this one flips the script, making the actors who normally play the villains, play the victims. Plus they actually have the chance to defend themselves and fight back. Unfortunately only Charly survived but even that is left in a gray area. Overall I think this film in particular was very entertaining, and had some good action sequences. Only to be ruined by the god awful editing and camera work, still his best film I’ve seen. 4/5 stars.
You can't watch it, literally.
3.5/5 A bit cliche but overall great I personally think this is the best zombie film so far, it is a little cliche and predictable but I enjoyed it overall. The plot is simple but effective, making it easy to follow and with plenty of action and gore. It's a film that isn't too serious with its characters which I think works in its favour, Richard Drake steals the show entirely though, his portrayal of Doom Head is spot on. A great film to watch on halloween and one I would definitely watch again.
31 was the worst movie I have ever seen in my life. The camera filming and acting is absolutely terrible!!!
Everything feels like strange chaos
solid action packed gory flick
While it has it's flaws, if you are looking for some fun horror then this is it. Also, you really can't go wrong with Malcolm McDowell.
Splatter carino con potenziale.
I didn't hate 31. I think Rob Zombie has done better. I am a fan of the plot and leaving the door open for a sequel.
Rating: 6/10. 63/100
Honestly, this movie was just boring. The characters constantly make irrational cliche choices that lead to their demise. The characters are so hard to empathize with that you don't care when they die, much less the fact that some of the deaths are so blatantly stupid or fast that you are almost glad they're done. The ending was lackluster. The only reason this gets 1 star and not 1/2 is that the performance by Richard Brake was very fitting to his character. Would not recommend unless you want to waste 1 hour and 42 minutes of your life.
Rob Zombie has a great way of creating the characters that you enjoy spending time with, even if they are demented psycho killers, and the characters that you can root for, even if they're not particularly good people. This movie has both, especially the standout star of the film, and the MVP of the title 31 game, Doom-Head - this guy needs his own movie! The actor, Richard Brake, was a creepy presence in Barbarian, and 31 gives him much more room to shine. The opening monologue is particularly impressive. And the other actors don't disappoint, but no one comes close to Brake, except maybe Zombie's better half, Sheri Moon, who doesn't play a maniac for a change. She is equally believable as the Final Girl and the Girl Who's Gonna Get the Final Girl. Overall, another horror gem from Rob Zombie!
Solid cinematography and direction, although plot line is old it still kept my attention.
Halloween, 1976. Five friends are kidnapped and held hostage by a gang of maniacs with sadistic intentions. The group is forced to play a game where they must survive 12 hours being chased and tortured. The penalty in case of capture is murder. "31" is an enjoyable experience as long as it is seen as an unpretentious horror flick focused on delivering as much bloodbath as it can. Non-stop gore at your disposal!
Fun film!!! Some cool characters and some goofy ones as well.
not bad tons of killing but the killers were kinda boring. it is a decent movie that I would only watch once. I would recommend watching it.
Among Rob Zombie's strongest, "31" is immersive, constantly engaging and really visceral. Phillips and especially Brake are great; in fact, the latter gives one of the finest, most memorable performances in recent horror memory, and has got some delicious dialogue to work with to boot. It might not be very original, the finale is a little too drawn out, and the shaky cam is sometimes a little much in the action scenes, but you will be watching transfixed and on the edge of your seat throughout.
this movie is terrible i couldn't even get past 30 minutes into it
Solid 3 Star B Movie!!!
