Steve Davis Austin Chronicle Rated: 3/5 Jan 1, 2000 Full Review Lee Hanson Our Own Community Press (Norfolk, VA) American Fabulous is worthwhile because Strouth has adjusted and overcome his feelings, and the end of the film is more positive than the beginning. May 3, 2023 Full Review Quentin Crisp Christopher Street It is a direct descendant of My Dinner With Andre, but is an improvement on that picture in that it is not pretentious and does not affect to be taking place in real life. Apr 6, 2022 Full Review Jake Euker F5 (Wichita, KS) A perplexing monologue, delivered in a moving car and featuring a not altogether interesting commentator; a real curiosity, though. Audience Member Brilliant, funny, personal, honest and GAY! (Apparently too gay for some viewers who should go back to watching tv sitcoms.) Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/25/23 Full Review Audience Member This movie is not for most people. There is no real order to the stories or shape to the film, but that is not the point. The point is documenting a dynamic storyteller with outrageous autobiographical tales before he is gone, becoming one of the many initial victims of the AIDS epidemic. I have listened to these stories over and over again and always wish there were more. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/19/23 Full Review Audience Member This is the funniest shit I've ever seen.
